Uhhh... I am part french..?? Primarily though, I go by black or creole. Those r the portions I'd rather not deny. I'm indifferent about the French bit.

I am vaguely french from my mother's side (des Hugenots). But I do speak DUtch most of the time.

What I meant about this rehearsal track (that might not sound like the live thing of course) is that this version takes the life, the uptempo out of the original. The keyboard signature (lead line?) is gone. Even the guitar parts are not really convincing.

As the bitcoins continue to ris ein price I do not mourn about the US$ 0.88 that the WAV cost me but I'd hope for something better.

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Is Prince playing all the guitar solos or is he sharing duties with the 3EG guitarist?

GoldenParachut e	Sounds great but Prince sounds sad and angry. he always has meanings behind his releases. Not that we will ever know but its fun to speculate.

V10LETBLUES	everything Prince releases now adays sounds so low testosterone timid and midtempo. Nothing ever stands out anymore. Like his doctor told him to stay away from interesting or spicy music and put him on a low fat bland diet to help with digestion. But at least this one doesnt feature bongos. [Edited 11/5/13 6:56am]

He's taken all the kinkiness out of it. Not good.

Secondly, the ongoing backing singer deficit has gotten worse. The backing vocals are such a huge part of his studio work yet he never really tried to get any live equivalent going. The chorus of this song really needs backing singers, freeing Prince up to do the ad-libs. You feel that absence on the chorus - big time. Well, I do anyway.

Not too keen on this. Love the song, of course and the arrangement is decent. The artwork is kinda cool and how it reveals itself on the youtube. Sweet deal.
