That is so right. Only words of wisdom posted here today. But then it wouldn't be Prince.org without people jumping to conclusions before knowing the whole story.

Prince needs to learn to have fun with his legacy, He's somehow known for pancakes So I would definately have it on some kind of sensual with a touch of comical like UTCM I would play with images of woman from his past Susannah or Vanity Starfish & Coffee (not Coffee & Cocaine '84) some black n white, and the shadow of a woman that could leave us wondering, a bedroom that looks like a matured version of his basement in Purple Rain. So much could have been done with this songs-video This is the type of song that has enough to create easy imagery I always thought the Ballad of Dorothy Parker was a song 4 wonderful visuals
Hey baby, where you going?

Could it signify that mr Prince is losing interest? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Wonder why another video so long after the song was released and we all purchased it. A prince vid without Prince is nto going to be of any interest to anyone outside this org and the interest within is clearly being debated. I do wish the releases were a bit more co ordinated. Plus who would see the video and where: remember anyone who shows it is ordered to remove it. Crazy.

i'm guessing this thing will go up for sale on the 3EG site soon, and then when no one buys it, he'll throw a tantrum and close the site. / but before that, is there another spreecast tonight? i can't wait to see that chat in there explode with positive feedback as the doc talks about how fantastic that video is and maybe gives us another preview. / he'll probably ask you if you'd like to see the whole video and what you would be willing to pay for it

I love your vision. Too sexy/cute. But....woulda coulda shoulda right? Whats done is done. It is what it is now.
Which is in my opionion: a masterpiece he didnt care enuff about ...so he put it in another females hands to do whatever with so that the end result can be eye candy for him and whoever will buy in.
But im only going with his actions and what he puts out there for me and everyone else to interpret so no hate just giving him what he wants.

While we can't judge the whole video based on this "teaser," what we see is disappointing. And it could have been so much better in the right hands. I just watched the Emmy award show, the choreographers nominated there - any one of those guys - or any other seasoned professional who can come up with a hot concept and innovative stuff, that would've been fabulous, and they'd relish the chance to do a Prince video.
Why wasn't the task put in the right hands? I think because Prince likes to give opportunities to people - make their wish come true. Some of these people are random fans - he lets them jam with him, come to concerts VIP for free, work for his charities. Some are people with aspirations in the entertainment industry. He seems to like giving these opportunities even better to cute chicks. If you're a cute chick, the chances are higher that you'll get a plum opportunity from Prince to do something that you haven't deserved based on your own achievements.
It's great that he seems to really believe in them, really want to help make their wishes come true, really want to mentor and teach ... it just kind of sucks when he gives these opportunities at the expense of the fan experience. Like, it's great that Danielle gets a great experience, but he should prioritize giving fans a great experience - if both can happen, great; but if you have to choose, then don't short-change the fans.
Fans want a cool video that they enjoy watching more than once. They want great live performances. They want the best songs you can muster. Instead, we get a video directed and choreographed by a nobody (in the business, I mean. I'm sure she's a somebody in life). We get "air-guitar" posing at concerts by a wanna-be pop star. We get awkward arm-flailing by a model who "always wanted to be a dancer." We get under-par vocals and non-existent live delivery for great songs like "All This Love." What a disappointment!
I think "Breakfast Can Wait" is a fab song. Not among his all-time greatest, of course, but quite good. If it were on Justin Timberlake's current album, it'd be a hit single. AND, it'd definitely have a really cool video with really cool hip choreography, because, no matter your opinion of Timberlake, he always wants the best people in the biz handling his stuff. Unlike our hero, the one-man make-a-wish-foundation.

That girl in the video looks ghetto. Not classy or up to par with women Im used to seeing with Prince. I read that she is only 18 years old! Seriously Prince? Can we say Hugh Hefner/mid-life crisis? This girl also looks really short and bigger boned and looks a lot older then 18 which means she wont age well. More then likely hes just giving her this opportunity to try and sleep with her to make himself feel better about being uncool to kids. Why else choose a little girl to be in your video? If youre 55 and still trying to impress 18 year olds with your fame and money Id say its a downward slope from here.

HUH?
what is ghetto? I don't see people walking around like that in any kind of ghetto. It's a video of dancers. Prince didn't pick any of them most likely. But the director of the video is probably behind everything.
