P Control, IIWYG, The Undertaker

Three Queries:

1. Which version of P Control is the House Mix - the one from Crystal Ball or the one with the intro "This is a story about control...feline, that is"?? What is the another one called?

2. In Imp Of The Perverse, the author says that an unreleased version of If I Was Your Girlfriend exists featuring Miles Davis. Is this true?

3. Did I see the chick from The Undertaker video on Spin City?

The version on 'Crystal Ball' is an alternate remix which has not been given a different title: like the official original release on 'The Gold Experience', it is called 'P. Control'

The House Mix starts off as you describe (apart from the word 'story' actually being 'tale'.)

? I've never heard of this. The book isn't 100% accurate (can you point me to which page it states this?).

The only thing that crosses my mind is that Hoskyns had heard (about) the New Years' Eve performance at Paisley where Miles performed (but not on IIWYG). But I even wonder if the book had already gone to press before this concert.

The rumours about Prince's collaboration with Miles were circulating around this period. They are known to have met in March 1987 but no (known) recording took place.

P. 18 Thanks. The reference appears in a passage which is very mixed: starting with a well-known quotation fron Prince, then apparently quoting Miles (slipping in the 'fact' about IIWYG), then shifting back to more of a quotation from Prince.

(It suggests that Miles either spoke to Hoskyns, or gave another interview from which Hoskyns is quoting, which in turn harks back to a discussion Prince had with Davis about when he went to see James Brown perform.)

The passage doesn't attribute the source of Hoskyns' information about an alternate version of IIWYG, so I'm a bit suspicious.

Vanessa Marcil played "Crazy Kara" in the episode entitled: "Shot in the Dark, A: Part 1."
