I never thought I would see the day when I would get Prince "cover versions", likw "One of Us", or "Everyday is a Winding Road", when he has more than enough material of his own in the vaults.

I find it to be a totally different tune than Sheryl Crow's version--they sound nothing alike. I wonder, though, if that's what spoiled it for many people? I love this song!  Love it with me! I like it. And I like the original. Not one of my favorites though.
I dig most of Prince's cover songs because he always makes it sound like a completely different song. No need to copy the sound of the original when you're as talented a musician as Prince. It was a lot better than "One of Us", I thought. | |
