Prince Primaël (What's in a Name?)

I found this (and think it is sort of) interesting. Any thoughts? (keep it civil please)

Meaning of name Primaël

Etymology : Charismatic. Prince (Breton).

Who is he?

With the influence of a master number in this first name, Primaël possesses a strong personality which confers him an ascendency over others. He is active, energetic, dynamic, courageous and of a passionate nature. Seemingly adaptable and accommodating, he is nonetheless capable of gently but firmly asserting his rights and ideas, occasionally with a touch of cunning and opportunism or even by amoral means: like an iron fist in a velvet glove...

He has many plans and plenty of great ideas, although he needs to learn to put them into practice. The vibrations of his master number mean that he is very highly strung, so action makes a perfect outlet for this excess energy; otherwise he could experience emotional upheaval and distress. If the intensity of the present moment seems like more than he can handle, he could live these energies an octave below, at the level of the 2 - the reduced expression of the 11: and in this case he will tend to remain in the passenger seat on the journey of life, more of an observer than a true participant; however this would guarantee him a more comfortable ride at a far less hectic pace.

However, challenges and difficulties stimulate him and spur him on, as a general rule. He has a profound sense of justice, and can react violently to any kind of iniquity; he feels great compassion for his fellow earthlings which often incites him to get involved with groups and associations that have a social or political objective. He is a highly intuitive man who nevertheless prefers to present his more logical, rational side to the world...

He could alternate between total possessiveness and a certain altruism. As a child, Primaël is motivated, determined and a star pupil thanks to his active, industrious nature. He can be a real perfectionist or even quite obsessive in one particular area, while paradoxically revealing himself to be completely undisciplined in another. Group activities should be encouraged and will enable him to develop a sense of solidarity. He could have a disconcerting tendency to alternate between over-activity and apathy.

What does he like?

He is extremely attached to his family and is willing to make great concessions in order to maintain a harmonious relation with his loved ones. Primaël aspires to peace even though he himself occasionally declares war! He often has an acute sense of esthetics which could lead him to take an interest in art or beautiful objects while he seeks the comfort of a cosy nest that he can call home. In matters of the heart, he is often a difficult case as he is in search of perfection, and happiness could pass him by without him recognizing it, thanks to his intransigent nature. Bossy and pernickety with noble principles, he isn´t always eays to live with and tends to quickly tire of relations keen to continue his quest for that rare pearl. But does she even exist?

What does he do?

With such a large range of possibilities to choose from, all sorts of doors open up to him, including: occupations involving the art of listening and counselling, anything to do with sales, tourism, marketing or travel..., the artistic or esthetic domains, cuisine, catering or gastronomy..., or occupations requiring accuracy and thoroughness.

Take my name, I don't need it
Nothing stays the same anyway
Take my fame, I can't use it
My girlfriend calls me lame, the game was over yesterday

Tell me, what's my name?
Tell me, what's my name?
What's my name?

Take this bass, I can't play it
It only makes me wish for the way it used to be
You could slap my face, but I got to say it
You never would have drank my coffee if I had never served you cream

Now tell me, what's your name?
Tell me, what's your name?
What's your name? What's your name?
Come on

Do you dream in color or do you discriminate?
Do you love others, do you love or do you hate?
Do you worship fire or do you worship a dove?
Do you live a liar or do you live for love?

What's your name?
What's my name?
What's your name?

That's too bad.

IMHO, there's nothing wrong with tiring of relations and moving on if the relationships aren't worth hanging onto in the first place. There's absolutely no virture in hanging onto people just for the sake of hanging onto them. Many people tend to hang onto lifeless relations (sometimes for their entire lives) just out of codependency or a myriad of other dysfunctional reasons. I would venture to guess that there are more people that hang on to lifeless / loveless relations out of bondage than can easily let go of them. There's no point in continuing to try and force a square peg into a round hole over and over again. Life's too short.

Well, if it's "good ones", then maybe someone has a problem with commitment or fears love and / or being loved. It's easier for some just to dismiss rather than to deal honestly with true heartfelt emotion. To be honest, I don't believe that it's easy to "tire" of someone you truly love or care about. Not if the relationship is good. True love doesn't go away that easily. My hunch is that if you "tire of someone / relations", either the love wasn't there in the first place, you outgrew them or in reality things aren't as great as they might seem on the surface. shrug

I guess it would be easier to discuss if I knew Prince personally. Since I don't know him personally, it's hard to discuss the checklist. However, I'll be sure to stop in to see what others have to say. wink

But are you a long time fan?

Talking Point:

Any long time, die hard Prince fan, knows Prince has pretty much all these traits.

In fact, it describes his character and personality pretty good.

IMO, one has to really know him personally to know for sure what's real and what's not. Image is one thing, the real person may be another. Character (for me) is something that I need to know and experience for myself. Not just through heresay, via magazines, TV interviews, music, forums and the like. That's just me. Sure, there are a few things on the list that I can say with confidence I know are true. There are other things that require some personal knowledge. Just my 2 cents. Lord knows there have been enough lies spread about him over the years.

Since we just met today on this forum, how am I to know who you are or how you "know" him? Just sayin. Prince is a remarkable human being, you know.

It's not like there are many "like him".

And it's not like he is "better" than any of us either, but he is "first in rank".

Primary or Primal. Prince.

Put it differently:

Prince is not an "asshole" but he can be
Prince is not an "idiot" but he can be.

Prince is not a "weirdo" but he can be.

Just like all of us, no?

Just not like all of us.

^ Ultimately, the name "Prince" is derived from Latin and means "first in rank" ('in principal'/'in the beginning"). Just like "real" Princes (or Princesses) are the "first in rank" to become King (or Queen) in a monarchy.

My name is Prince and I am funky
My name is Prince, the one and only
I did not come to funk around
'Til I get your daughter I won't leave this town

In the beginning God made the sea
But on the 7th day he made me
He was tryin' to rest y'all
When He heard the sound
Sound like a guitar, cold gettin' down

I tried to bust a high note
But I bust a string
My God was worried
'Til he heard me sing

My name is Prince and I am funky
My name is Prince, the one and only
Hurt me

Do that, do that, somebody
Do that, do that, somebody
Do that, do that, somebody
Do that, do that, somebody

My name is Prince and I am funky
When it come to funk I am a junky
I know from righteous, I know from sin
I got two sides and they're both friends

Don't try to clock 'em, they're much too fast
If you try to stop 'em they kick that ass
Without a pistol, without a gun
When you hear my music you'll be havin' fun

That's when I gottcha
That's when you mine
To tell the truth
Tell me what's my line?

My name is Prince and I am funky
My name is Prince, the one and only
Hurt me

Do that, do that, somebody
Do that, do that, somebody
Do that, do that, somebody
Do that, do that, somebody

My name is Prince, I don't wanna be king
'Cause I've seen the top and it's just a dream
Big cars and women and fancy clothes
Will save your face but it won't save your soul

I'm here to tell you that there's a better way
Would our Lord be happy if He came today?
I ain't sayin' I'm better, no better than you
But if you want to play with me, you better learn the rules

My name is Prince and I am funky
My name is Prince, the one and only
I did not come to funk around
'Til I get your daughter I won't leave this town

I won't leave this town
I won't leave this town
I won't leave this, leave this, leave this

My name is Prince and I am funky
My name is Prince, the one and only
Funky fresh for the 90's

Do that, do that, somebody
Do that, do that, somebody
Do that, do that, somebody
Do that, do that, some

The funkier I be, the funkier I get, oh shit
Lickety split on the lyric, a new jack in the pulpit
Watch it deacon, your track is leakin'
What is this you're seekin'?
The syncopated rhymes are at their peak

When you jumped on my D I C K
That's the one thing that I don't play
The jock strap was too big for you anyway
You're just a simpleton, I'll bust you like a pimple, son
My star is too bright
Boy, I'll sink you like the ship, Poseidon Adventure

You're bumpin' dentures to be cocksure
There must be more coming from your mouth than manure
So with a flow and a spray, I say
"Hey, you must become a prince before you're king anyway"

Do that, do that somebody
Do that, do that somebody

It's time to get ig-ig-ignorant
Def be the beat that I'm rockin'
Yo so, come get a hit
And put your thinking cap on, you've been forewarned
I call upon the inner forces that I've got brewin' in my cauldron

That means my nugget, sometimes I'm rugged
The style I posses be havin', the other brothers buggin'
And this is for those who oppose
To propose to overexpose disclose
Pose a threat to my brother

Like any other man makin' a stand
I'll be damned if I let you play this hand
I'm the blackjack dealer and the cards are stacked
What do you expect to win when you're used to playing craps?

Do that, do that somebody
Do that, do that somebody

It's gettin' tricky, I mean it's a sticky situation
To resurrect a groove with feeling and give it this much affection
Passion flows and who knows what lurks in the gallows of my mind
I put my foot in the ass of Jim Crow

12 inches of non-stop sole
I'm on a roll with P, it's time for the show
So do that, do that somebody
Wave your hands in the air
This is a motherfucking party

While you're laying back I'm on the attack paddywhack
Give yourself a bone
This is my house and I'm prone
To layin' some chrome upside some motherfuckers dome
And I'm out

My name is Prince and I am funky
My name is Prince, the one and only

My name is Prince
My name is Prince
My name is Prince
My name is Prince

My name is Prince
My name is Prince
My name is Prince
My name is Prince

My name is Prince
My name is Prince

Good & evil (light & darkness) can never be friends. We must choose one or the other. God wants us to be whole (one with Him).
