I've explained myself more than clearly. You seem hung up on the fact that you don't agree with the subject of RC. That is irrelevant to whether the concept is fluent and cohesive. It is, you just can't seem to get your head around it. I can, so no failure on my part. Stick to C+D, more your level. don't play me...i'm over 30 and i DO smoke weed....

And I never mentioned the message of Lovesexy. I said it has no religious context. Explain to me the religion that is Lovesexy. How does it fit in with the major world religions. You really think Lovesexy is a recognised religion? You're just being daft again. don't play me...i'm over 30 and i DO smoke weed....

B-but... I liked it.
Its actually one of my favorites. I really liked when Prince went guitar heavy, hes disgusting with the guitar but I dont think he displays it enough. So thats why I tend to have a soft spot for it. That whole early 90's thing was good in that department.

2 points:
a) this site has some of the hungriest, music-fan based trolls on the net b) we're fortunate to have an artist like Prince who is prolific enough to keep the interested talking No justice, No peace

I agree about SHOE. It is greatness. There are several songs on PE that I like, but as an album, I rank it lower than Rave. I'm not saying Rave is a complete masterpiece, but I tend to like more songs on rave than PE. To me, PE feels more like a "thrown together" album than an album like Rave.

Into The Light and I Will are probably in my top 10 Prince songs ever. They really are that good. Everything about them is just magic. The way Into The Light opens with that delicate piano, Rosie's backing vocals on the second chorus, that brilliant sax and guitar solo before effortlessly going into I Will, which is surely one of Prince's most sincere ballads lyrically speaking. No trace of ego, just a genuine display of reassurance to a friend. Musically, it contains some of Prince's best lead guitar work and again, Rosie's harmonising is chilling. Rosie Gaines is the best singer Prince has ever worked with by a mile and these two songs are evidence of that. I really cannot over-emphasise how much I love these two songs.
The rest of the album is pretty good too. The title track is probably one of Prince's best balls-to-the-wall rock tracks and even the much derided I Rock Therefore I Am has its redeeming moments. Underneath the horrid production and that God-awful reggae rap is a catchy chord progression, some nice lead guitar work and fun lyrics. [Edited 9/4/13 2:08am]
