Imo, the albums u mentioned aren´t close to Prince´s worst album at all.

TRBC is in my Top5

Emancipation in my Top10

For me, Prince´s worst album is Kamasutra by far.

Tastes differ.

I have come to realise that I actually like them all, though I initially did not warm to Chaos & Disorder, Emancipation, Newpower Soul, Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic...until I started to see them as part of his creative process and began to view them as "valuable" in that regard as, say, Controversy, Around The World In A Day, Batman or Graffiti Bridge (each of which I initially really enjoyed). Some albums take forever and a day to understand, let alone appreciate. Parade was such an album for me. Each step is needed to get to the next and I realise I'd rather enjoy the WHOLE journey, than single out anything as particularly more or less valuable. It is all required in the creative process and there is something to be said for learning and developing through both peaks and troughs, for an artist.

C&D has some good stuff on it - it's nowehere near as bad as the albums where he's trying too hard to appeal to modern pop fans- Rave, NPS, much of Emancipation, The NPG Club years

I was really dissapointed with this album when it came out, but now I love it. Especially the title track.

In my opinion, TRC is better than Purple Rain, LoveSexy, Dirty Mind and most definitely Controversy from that list. At an exaggerated push, i'd put it above 1999 too. It's a creative musical masterpiece.
