Country diva Dolly Parton looks set to be a surprise guest at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

According to reports, the US star has been in talks with organiser Michael Eavis to perform on the Sunday afternoon of the summer event.

Though the line-up for the annual festival is yet to be fully confirmed, it's thought that Parton will play on the same day as reclusive pop star Prince, who is rumoured to be headlining the final night - a slot traditionally reserved for music legends.

Elsewhere, REM have confirmed they will headlining the first night of the festival (Friday, June 27), with Radiohead confirmed for Saturday (June 28 ).

Other acts rumoured to be performing at the three-day Somerset festival include: David Gray, Idlewild, Suede, Craig David, The Coral, Starsailor, Massive Attack, The Libertines, The Streets, The White Stripes, Super Furry Animals, Elbow, Richard Ashcroft, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Supergrass, The Flaming Lips, Muse and Jimmy Cliff.

Well, this is still looking good, if you ask me! There have been some rumours about bands playing that aren't and they have been quick to put the record straight. You might assume that if Prince was defintely NOT playing, then there would have been some sort of statement from Paisley Park to counteract the flurry of media rumours.
