Didnt buy it back then because it was not in lossless.

Wont buy it now for the same reason.

I undertstand back in the NPGMC days using mp3(128) with dialup access, but now the operators are practically throwing bandwidth at us.

The highest quality format should be made available and everyone can use freeware to convert to preferred format.

Of course more than one format could be made available, but hey we understand one step at a time.

We now have previews, coverart included, perhaps the next step is multiple formats.

I have a question, not as much about the format but about the actual 'sound'. When I downloaded it last time there was a lot of distortion, I'm wondering if this has been sorted. I'm happy to pay for it again if it sounds better, I quite like the song...

My guess is he would also need the permission of Viacom, or whoever owns the rights to the The Chappelle Show. And, since it's a picture of Dave, his permission as well. confused

It would seem to me that the only reason for the "rerelease" is to showcase his newfound sense of humor, ie. the new artwork.

It’s been nine years since Dave Chappelle threw on a crushed velvet jacket with a ruffled blouse and pretended to be Mr. Purple Rain for his “Chappelle’s Show: True Hollywood Stories” skit, and Prince is now paying homage.

This past weekend, he posted the cover art for his new single, “Breakfast Can Wait” on Twitter, which features Dave dressed as Prince while carrying a plate of pancakes. And if you can get past the cover art long enough to take a listen to the 48 second snippet that was leaked from the song, you may get really excited for Prince’s latest offering.

On the smooth groove, Prince sings about getting some early morning good-good while telling his woman that breakfast can definitely wait.

This might be Prince at his PR best. They are talking about it on Huffingtonpost, on CNN on MSNBC, everywhere. This could make the song a major hit.

The song is too middle of the road to become a hit on its own, so it will be interesting to see if the funny cover works.

People will want the cover, but avoid the tune. lol
