Prince,NE,Janet,TLC Tour Being that most of those artists couldn't fill an arena, do you think they should tour together. J and New Edition I know can't can't say the same for TLC and the artist. Together 2 to definetly all 4 of the could fill a 20,000 seat arena. But which combination would work Prince&Janet then TLC&New Edition would be a solo/group feel. Then Prince-New Edition and Janet-TLC would be a male/female thing. Togethr the set would be more ellaborate and they could afford great lighting. Working up a purple sweat.

Uhhhh...less than a year ago, Prince sold out (or came close) three shows at the United Center in Chicago. Capacity of the United Center: 20,500.
Next! We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

on what basis did you create this combination?

Springsteen played a tour with in a year or so of those dates and couldn't fill more than 60% of the stadium where I live. Prince did the same stadium at higher prices and sold 80% of the stadium. It has to do with the down economy. I think both Springsteen and Prince can bring in audiences, the economy, just like ticket sales, can take dive. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

There's a crisis going and prices are going up. No wonder stadium shows don't sell out like they used to. Two years ago I payed €100 to see good old Prince, but I'm not gonna cough up twice that much to see him another time. And like Lili said, why Janet Jackson? Why not Santana? That sounds like a better combination.

London loves veterans and musical legends, you know ....

At the Prince concert they bumped the people from there 50 dollar nose bleed seats to 100 seats at no charge. Just so there wouldn't be any gaps. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson seem very organic pair, but in the U.S. they only sell 50% of their shows. market is just dead in the U.S. this year ... if you're not Taylor Swift, of course.

SOmeone's noot understanding. Yes he sold out 21 bights, the tour was one city. Everybody came to those gigs. Prince in a Stadium...had to be Europe.Well now if Prince did say 35 dates of THE USA I'm not sure he'd sell out the arenas. Now Michael sold 3 nights at teh arena here and he's dead. Working up a purple sweat.

Prince doesn't tour with anyone! He doesn't have to. Case closed.. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

Prince is not as washed up as the other acts mentioned and not ready to do the old skool R&B legends tour - maybe instead of Prince on that list you could put Color Me Badd?

Prince doesn't need an opener, he just needs John Blackwell back full time!

Well then why is it that Prince can still sell out big venues and Janet can't. Janet's gotten the same airplay recently and Infact Janet's sold 100 million and Prine hasn't. Even Tina Turner can and she hasn't gotten major play since they 80s.Not dumb at all. If an artist was failing he could partner up with some other lower artists and sell a big tour. Working up a purple sweat.

Uhh no, Elevis is the greatest performer of all time. Michael is of his genaration, and Prince is The Artist.Even James Brown who was the biggest black performer of hist generation was doing theaters in The 90s. Working up a purple sweat.

Both Elvis and The Beatles sold a billion. As of 2010 Michael not far from that. Now if you consider Mike was around less genrations than both those then yes he'd be the biggest entertainer of all time.Kind like Mariah. Not aware she's bigger than Madonna or even Whitney but she's been arouness time thant either. SO to be ind l for so few years and sell in their r.anks makes her bigger. You think it sounds funny but few old skool artists can sell big anymore. Even The Rolling tTones 2nd in ROck to The Beatles went from stadiums to arenas on this tour. Right off bat the only artists who could sell arenas who were in before 1990 are MJ,Elvis,Stones,Tina,New Kids,Depeche Mode,U2 and a few others. WHitney did around the world but for some reason did no american tour. Maybe not all music but black music I know. New Edition was about the biggest R&B act outside Mike,Prince and Janet and don't do over 10,000 these days. Strangely Sade and Rammstein can do arenas. That which is strange cause Sade I was never aware was that big and hasn't been played since the early 90s. As far Rammstein they never got major play in The US. Working up a purple sweat.

They have 5-6 million from each concert in the arenas (yes, the prices of their concerts are high).

I think we should stop this "big, bigger, biggest" way of thinking anyway. So what if acts don't sell out stadiums? What's the point of standing in a crowd of people so far from the stage that you end up watching the show on a screen after all? Give me the smaller venues any time!
