As long as he fails miserably with his marketing and PR his records will not chart and no new fans will be found.

Its as if he cant be bothered.

imago said: That cannot chart if they are not sent to radio or retail. Dumbass

This is what I was talking about earlier.....nobody knows what's going on here lol songs are being released randomly,we don't know what's being sent to radio or to retail....it's a mess.

Most artists simply release singles from an album that they release.Prince doesn't seem to have a strategy.

You can go to Billboard and find out what has been releashed to radio. Or you can listen to your radio.

He has not releashed anything to radio accept Rock n Roll Affair which did okay on the Adult Comtempary Charts. You guys are also forgeting that Lotus Flower stayed on the charts for a year.

He is not going to get lots of radio play mainly due to his age but I believe he has a good fan base and with the right music and promotion he can get some songs on the charts but it will never be like the Purple Rain days no matter what kind of music he puts out. I think some of you are looking for that type of impact and that is just not going to happen.

It was a moderate success in the US Adult Contemporary Chart, or whatever it is called. I read it was the highest position for a Prince track in that chart since "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World".

Actually, I'd be interested to know if what Javi said is true, but I don't know an easy way to verify it. shrug

"I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

You should trust me! I give you the information about it on princevault.com:

-------

Aided by a top-of-the-hour promotional airplay on participating Clear Channel and Media Entertainment-owned stations on 17 September, 2012, the song debuted Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart on 6 October, 2012 at position #22. It was the first time a Prince song hit this chart since The Most Beautiful Girl In The World made it at position #25 in 1994.
