Uh, no. I didn't say that they suck. I actually find them talented. But what Prince has done with them is not all that impressive to me. It's standard fare, imo. You can't tell me there's anything mind-blowing going on on any of those songs [but I'm sure many Prince worshipers will think any guitar solo is the greatest thing ever ]. They're okay songs, & that's it [albeit, slightly boring too]. Nothing Prince is doing musically is great right now @ all, besides a friggin' guitar playing [to a degree]. I wish he would work with others who are pushing the envelope. It's just my own selfish opinion, honestly. I don't expect anyone to agree with me, but hey, I'm doing my part to keep the topics coming.

Yup! I really only listen to the songs maybe twice, & I don't find them memorable @ all.

Fixurlifeup, live out loud, etc. sound like they are part of a movie soundtrack ala the 80s.

I feel the same way! I look at 3rdEyeGirl as just another temporary Prince project that he will spend a little time on,before he gets bored and moves on to the next thing.Based on what I have heard so far,I don't think that anything amazing is gonna happen with this project.

I agree totally. It's just...meh. He seems really impressed with these ladies. While they have some talent, I'm not. It reminds me of Tommy Barbarella. I never understood him. Maybe P is trying to recapture the Purple Rain mediocre musician fire. Although Dr. Fink was the man.

I haven't weighed in on the many threads about them, because I really don't get the extreme love for them...

After the first few songs, I stopped rushing to hear the output.

I haven't heard any of the streamed stuff.

I doubt that I'd go see them if they were to come to NYC.

It's summer. I'm a teacher. My funds are limited.

They haven't grabbed me enough to overextend myself or borrow money.
And I'm not doing GA for them.

Wendy and Lisa have proven themselves w/ & without Prince..

Some of the live versions kick ass-just saying. Fix your life up extended live version was very cool.

I think his recorded versions lately lack energy IMO.

We don't need a disclaimer before you say something stupid. This is a great period in Prince's career and he's having fun. One mic, 3 girls and him proove he doesn't need a 22 piece band to sound good. It's his cataloug he's trying to fill and I love it.
