Do we have reason to believe they fell out? I mean, there's no Maceo, or any of the Hornheadz--does it have to be a thing where she's just plain OUT and not just otherwise occupied? Iguess she might make more money in other ways, and if he's going for a big horn section, wouldn't it be a bit of demotion from her previously featured position?

If they are for some reason on the outs, that's too bad--but is there a reason to think they are?

I think they fell apart on the London "Planet Earth" Tour in O2 Arena in 2007. I just don't remember why..?

Greg Boyer's not there either--wasn't he like bandleader or something for awhile, or am I making that up?

Just went to Wikipedia to find out what she's doing--apparently for the last few months she's been a judge on the Dutch X Factor (which ends July 5)--so that's something sort of interesting.

And quite a few shows are up on her website through the summer and beyond.

Doesn't have anything to do with any beef between the two, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Like I said above, I have always liked her.. a lot.


She was beautiful, so sexy on stage,

and: a skilled musician, too.

eye loved how Ms. Dulfer was always so seemingly aware of the audience and having fun on stage as part of the npg.

If I remember correctly, she cancelled (or postponed) a planned tour of her own to tour with Prince. She flew out to where he was going to be rehearsing for the tour, and after she arrived she was told her services were not needed. I don't remember the details, but it was something like that.

^ yes something like that, I believe she played on the opening concert at the O2, but she was told to leave the band, and she never returned...

I remember joking at the time that 'No More Candy 4 U' was nothing more than Prince referring to firing her, it turns out it was probably true!

He should bring her back!!

What...? You've not seen the Partyman video?

I've never believed that o2 rumor. Why would he have 3 saxophone players, he had Maceo and Mike Philly at the time, she was at the aftershow. I think he just didn't need her, he didnt use a horn section from 2008-2012, and now he has an 11 piece section so there hasn't been a need for her.

I am with you - It never made any sense. At the same time as these rumours she had her own tour and festival appearances plus a talk show on Dutch TV.
