New topic PrintableBob George reminds me of the black album and that's enough 4 me 2 like this track A feeling of self-worth will caress U,
The size of the whole wide world will decrease, The love of God's creation will undress U, And time spent alone my friend, will cease.

Love this tune, would fit perfectly on slaughterhouse or chocolate invasion. It could indeed be from that time period but just updated a little bit.
That Bob Goerge voice cracks me up in this tune......
Peace

Cool! I really like the combination of a full horn section with the electronic backing tracks. Do you know who else play on these tracks? The wooh is on the one!

I really like this. Some great bass work, love the screwed vocals, a bit of Camille and Bob George. Reminds me a little of Black Sweat. I prefer this to the 3rd eye girl rock stuff. Hopefully we wil have a few more songs put up soon. I would love to get The Breakdown.

Good job P!

I thought that the song sounded familiar also. Was it played at any of the recent concerts? I was at the 1st and 3rd Chicago shows. or possibly a preview on Dr.funkenberry?

Prince is showing how much he's an arrogant, immature, egomaniac with a fragile ego, and how his current music is not great so the best thing he can do is write a song trying to humiliate the women who leave him so he can try to make himself feel like a big man. Who the hell wants to Bible study with this little fake JW.

The song is ok, not at all a hit. I believe in getting your emotions out through writing, but it feels like he release a song directed to specific people. I think that he should stop trying to send subliminal messages and focus on making good music. Pick up the phone and read the lyrics instead of wasting time and energy on a song like this. We miss HITS Prince. If you are made communicate your feelings in different ways. Who are you talking to anyway?

I'm glad he's posted something new to the site, loved everything so far. But this... This is awful. It's every bit of Prince I don't like. Boring, does nothing and is at least 3 minutes longer than it should be and it gets worse as it goes on. Horrible RIP

When I heard this the first time it leaked, the lyrics were different and the music also sounds different. I liked the first one, not this one. I dont have the other one so I cant confirm this but Im sure someone else does.

i have both and they're exactly the same
perhaps you're confusing this one with "2 young 2 dare" which was also premiered the same night as "ain't gonna miss u" and "the breakdown".

lovin' this one...not album worthy but up there with the killer B-sides. It's freaky, it's got the synth horns, it got good synth quirks and above all else Bob George is back!, love the swagger too. Afre the recent dross this is more than a welcome return to these ears. Note that this is NOT single or album worthy BUT a 'keeper' as a B-side/ fun song for fans.

Hope it isn't about Bria, would be rather petty and tacky, since she has maintained a dignified silence about their relationship, where history shows us he more than likely to have moved on before breaking it off with her. Not sure about the song, seems like it is a bit too drawn out, like he couldn't let go. actually those are real horns (the Hornheads) with processing in the first 3 minutes, and muted brass with saxes after the low male rap thing.

Not a good song at all, but at least it seems as if he tried to create something a little bit different.

Like it that the track is getting love.
The one thing homorous to me, the track sounds like to me like a big mix of samples on protools. I just wonder what this song would sound like with a live band with the hornheads going for it in one take. For myself, I think I would like that better? but who am I? The general consensus in here is ya-all love Ain't Gonna Miss U.
Personally I like 3rdEyeGirl more. Real music by real musicians. Maybe even sometimes the small minute imperfections of a live band make it what it is. Still, I would like it if Prince embraced electronica and just go all out synth pop or NIN. This track is funky, still for me nothing beats a band. What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?
