so blue off of 4 u ive been listening 2 4 u lately and so blue just stand out 2 me this week i would love 2 hear prince take on this with the npg i can imagine him on acoustic guitar with the horns and shelbj backin him. this song is so simple and beautiful

you are so correct that album proves and that song especially proves prince was a rocker way be4 the revolution was even thought of. i would love 2 c prince,andre, bobby and dez do some live shows and just play all of their old stuff | |

Listening to So Blue now. It's gorgeous, so downbeat and reflective.
I love the whole album. Baby is astonishingly mature for a lad of his tender years. His playing is fantastic, simple and spacious. It's hard to believe the instrumental coda jam to Just As Long was recorded by one man playing in real time. It's as tight as a gnat's chuff. It's the blueprint of what was to become The Minneapolis Sound, every facet is there within the first 30 secs of track one.
