Ooh I so missed this Prince sooo much. I hear joy and playfulness mixed with funky dense percussion. If I had accused Prince of being lazy, he certainly was not lazy on this one. Great track. I missed fun Prince.

I've listened to this a couple more times this morning, and I've come to the conclusion that this song would be much better with Ledisi's parts removed.
Also, it is just me or does it it sound like Prince sampled Ledisi's parts from another song and sprinkled her throughout the track? Every instance of her "Ain't gonna miss u..." line has the same faint crackle over top.

I always imagined that if there was ever any bob george/camile type videos, they would be silly animated stick figures. These type of tracks are just so playful.

I like the song, very thankful it was made available directly at 3rdeyegirl.com in wav format
Funny thing is that even when Bria was with Prince she was a “who”
Moral to the story...rubber ta tas can only get you so far! Prince is a musician not a lifestyle.

Cool! I've been waiting for this song. Like the snippet I heard. Finally it's available. Will buy it when I get home. Reading the lyrics, lawd have mercy, it seems like Prince was kicking somebody's azz to the curb and into the trash can and saying good riddens. [Edited 6/13/13 5:58am]

again .. rapping prince is a shitty prince song .. i do love the "george of the jungle" drums .. this would be a better song if he let the drum groove just do its thing for a while .. i really hate when prince comes up with lyrics and then he and this chick just sing variations of the melody of those lyrics .. it just sounds like a lazy stupid waste of time .. in other words .. the ending sucks .. the lyrics are bad .. the groove could have made a cool song .. modern .. inovative .. but again prince delivery and lyrics and rapping make this song not worthy of his cannon .. oh well .. glad the radio previewed it so i can continue to choose not to support half assed prince till he puts out a decent song again

. HA! I thought I was the only one hearing "rubber tatas" instead of "rub her tatas" LOL

I realized I heard this song already. Is it just me or did the lyrics change from the first version? Can any one confirm this? It does sound like he says rubber tatas and if hes taking a swing at Bria he looks like a damn fool. It makes him look childish and seem like he is protecting his ego which is probably the reason all of his relationshipss fail repeatedly.

It's funny. I listened to this song just after reading a bitter Jill Jones Facebook post about P, his eye makeup, etc.

Sounds like he's talking about the "haters" as well since he likes double meanings and triple on the rare occasion he can muster it.

Nice Carly Simon reference... "...bet you think this song is about you."
"He's a musician's musician..."

You're right that it doesn't have the sophistication or nowhere near the attention to detail of a scarlet pussy or shockadelica, but it's the closest and looses of his fun tracks in a long long time. So I give him props for that. The production has nuances and details that have been sorely missed on his newest tracks. I wish Mplsound could have been have half as fun as this little number. I like the song a lot. The bass and groove are cool. Lyrics make sense. Could be about anywho. Doesn't sound like 3rdeyegirl era at all. ...every night another symphony...

I like it.
It wouldnt look out of place on the 1999 album
Funky stuff | |

Sorry, but... say what? Most all of the instrumentation sounds like NPGMC era.
Nice little ditty though... but I can see why he's throwing it away.
I always welcome Bob George back though. "He's a musician's musician..."

Same thing I thought when I heard that line in the song. I like how the song keeps fans wondering who the song is about.

She's an r&b/soul singer. She performed with Prince and the NPG a couple of times within the past 4 years. She sang with Prince and the NPG on a tv show when he sang "Turn me Loose'(2009), if I remember correctly.
