^ Maybe I am oldfashioned?
because, there's so many reasons why I need to have a remaster series boxset from Prince:
1. Prince's "legacy" - I would love to see a "professionel" take care of the old recordings in the most brilliant way one could ever imagine, the old albums are so excellent they just screams for this to happen
2. I am a collector, I loooove big and nice boxsets, the bigger the better: incl extra tracks, b-sides and extended versions, also with info, notes and lyrics printed in a cd booklet
3. and yes I believe the sound can be improoved a lot
4. a lot of the original albums are out of print, which is a shame for new fans
5. I love Prince products (at least I used to back when the music actually was any good = the Warner era, 1978-1995),
I was then buying the vinyl 7 inch singles, the 12 inch maxi singles, vinyl LP albums, cd singles, and cd albums, cassette tapes, a few cassette singles as well as imports from Japan, VHS tapes and DVDs.. just every product I could lay my hands on. That seems to be so very long ago, today not so many "Prince products" (physical) sees the light of day.
* I did not buy the recent iTunes downloads of "RNRLA" plus "FUrLU", I dislike these songs, and they aren't really like the real "physical products" to me, anyway. Prince 4Ever. |
