why would anyone dis prince for being natural. obviously he was not born with straight hair. if he changes his hair, he changes it. point is he loves his self enough to be his natural self.

Just because Prince has decided to wear his hair natural does not mean that those who do not don't love their selves enough. I don't even think this was his point for wearing an afro. It seems to me Andy Allo and a few other younger people around him inspired him to go natural again and wear the fro. I wish Andy would twirl his hair. Prince needs to do a twist out on his fro. He should call Lenny Kravitz.

Well I'm in Italy, which is Europe at the moment and afro seems quite popular amongst african/african origins people over here... In fact, long or short, straight hair get more "strange" looks here (at least in my hometown). Only a couple of women I know straighten their hair, all others, no matter which age, go for short/afro/beads instead. So I don't think an afro would shock anyone around here.

Not that I really care one way or another, it's just hair you know

I am not anti Fro at all, but it looks really bad on Prince. I saw it up front, close, in person at the shows in MPLS last week.

It makes him look way older than ever before. And that is never a good thing.

Now remember when he wore the 'fro during his younger years? I wonder if he had kept his hair in its natural state, in a 'fro or braids, twists, dreads, if some of his fans would have had a different view of him? It seems over the years, so many of his fans have become used to his permed-hair/look, which was often referred to as a 'pretty-man' look, and now that he's wearing it in its natural state, in a hairdo similar to many black males with a 'fro, I do believe many are having a hard time getting used to it. I give him credit for going natural though. At the end of the day, his hair doesn't define his gifted music talent or skills.
