Here's a link to an earlier discussion of the "Paisley Park Files" "theory." The original poster doesn't call it that, but as you'll see if you move down the thread, that is the name under which the text previously had circulated.

Enjoy it for what it is.
that's it! Someone sent me a copy of this in the 90s,I thought it was outrageous!
***The Paisley Park Files***
[The following information was leaked out by a record industry insider.
While I am unable to verify some of the information, a lot of it seems
plausible, especially in light of recent events.]
1986: Casting for Prince's second film, _Under the Cherry Moon_,
begins. Actor William Rector is hired to double for Prince. Director
Mary Lambert, not in on the plan, questions the need for a double and is
fired 9 days after shooting begins.
The script of _Under the Cherry Moon_ contained an allegorical subplot
concerning the behind-the-scenes machinations of mafia-controlled Warner
Brothers. Prince, tired of touring, wanted to concentrate on recording.
At the behest of Warner Bros. he contrived a scheme in which the double
would tour as "Prince" with a new Prince-controlled band, while he would
concentrate outside of the spotlight on matters musical. Warners agreed,
but . . . eventually doublecrossed him.
September, 1986: Prince plays his last concert in Yokohama, Japan,
smashing his _Purple Rain_ guitars.
The "October Surprise" in which Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, Susannah
Melvoin, Jerome Benton and Brown Mark were abruptly fired: The reason: to
get close associates out of the way without arousing undue suspicion.
The payoff involved:
Alan Leeds: named president of Paisley Park Records.
Eric Leeds, his brother - the only artist to release four albums on the
label (two as Madhouse and two under his own name).
Leonard W., head of Warner Bros. Records.
Benny Medina, named vice-president at WEA.
1986 was Prince's most productive period: _Parade_ and _Dream Factory_
and _Camille_ were recorded by Prince and the Revolution. Prince
continued recording material for _Crystal Ball_ (later _Sign O' the
Times_) in Chanhassen.
Annoyed by criticism over his Beatles/Dylan/Wilsonesque work, Prince
fires off _The Black Album_ with Sheila E. and Cat Glover, among others.
The Warner Brothers plot: to "replace" Prince altogether. The "vault"
containing unreleased recordings, was to be exploited (some tracks
watered
down) by the double, Rector; the "raunchiness" of Prince was to be "toned
down"
at the behest of Mafia Warner Bros. executives "for greater sales
potential".
The Paisley Park think tank was ordered to recast available material
into "the Lovesexy project". Prince would continue to work on a
masterpiece on an island undisturbed.
1987: 40 copies of _The Black Album_ are pressed in a plant in Germany
before the order came down from Warner Bros. to
Some 40 copies escape unscathed. Some executives, remembering the stir
caused by Bob Dylan's "Basement Tapes" in 1968 (which spawned an
immediate hit album for the Band as well as countless cover versions from
the basement sessions), allow the record to be leaked to the British
press and to Dutch bootleggers.
This led to rumors that Prince had "retired" like Dylan in 1968.
December, 1986: Sheila E. appears on _The Tonight Show_ and announces
recording sessions for her followup to _Sheila E._ (an album which did
not appear due to the Prince switch).
1987: Sheila E. knows too much but is protected by Waronker: her next
full album would appear on Warner Brothers, fulfilling her original 1984
contract.
Cat Glover, tired of the game, rejects an offer for a Paisley Park
release, forming an alliance with CRF. She releases a single,
"Catwoman", teasing the real Prince's "Batman" doodlings.
Prince songs - with "histories" - given to various artists like Deborah
Allen
for a price.
THE BATMAN MOVIE: Tim Burton, director of _Batman_, is unaware of the
switch -- but Jack Nicholson is. In a secret meeting on Prince's island,
he agrees to score music for the film. Some of the music - Neal Hefti's
"Batman" theme, "Partyman", and a rough, first-draft instrumental in the
style of Madhouse -- is knocked off in transatlantic mail exchange. Kim
Basinger is also invited to the island, interested in Prince (and a
record deal). Eventually they do a remake of "Je T'Aime (Moi Non Plus)"
entitled "The Scandalous Sex Suite"; but she refuses to carry on a public
affair with the double in America, leading to a quick break-up for the
tabloids.
_Batman_ carries the stylistic signature of the man who recorded _The
Black Album_ and is transitionally inconsistent with _Lovesexy_. A
diversion -- "stylistic doodling"; some succeed and fail; the lesser
tracks were kept in to A) sell twice as many records by having Danny
Elfman's score on a separate release and B) to make a smoother transition
back to the NPG staff, for whom matching Prince at his peak would simply
be impossible.
_GRAFFITI BRIDGE_: Originally, this project was envisioned as a followup
to _Purple Rain_. With the abdication of Prince, a hastily-rewritten
script was substituted involving a nigthclub war. (One of the
scriptwriters had previously worked on the Olivia Newton-John flop
_Xanadu_: note the plot similarities between the two involving "muses"
and other pagan religious iconography.) Jill Jones, getting too
suspicious, was fired during her plane trip to the set.
Involved in the _Graffiti Bridge_ coverup were:
Morris Day: given a 2-album deal with Reprise (one of the albums was a
Day-produced group, The Day Zs).
Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis: received enough captial to finance their own
label, Perspective Records.
Ingrid Chavez: awarded royalties and exposure from two No. 1 singles.
"Prince" would now carry on a public affair with a belly dancer hired
after _Diamonds and Pearls_ -- to explain his sudden lack of interest in
bedding pop starlets.
Songs "co-written" with Martika were credited as "written and produced by
Paisley Park" -- the Leeds think tank. "Love Song", appearing on
Madonna's _Like a Prayer_ album, was actually written by Madonna, Leeds,
and Patrick Leonard. Candy Dulfer, drafted for session work, released a
debut album with no Prince involvement. A version of Wendy & Lisa's
"Lolly Lolly" -- "According to Prince" was actually remixed by Wendy
Melvoin in the style of the *real* Prince. "The Arms of Orion" recorded
via telephone with Sheena Easton (she was given "101" and "Cool Love" for
her cooperation ("Eternity" arose from a 1986 session with the real
Prince).
Nathan Wright, a file clerk at Dow Chemical, publishes his first issue
of _Uptown_ magazine, conceived as a propaganda/disinformation tool for
anti-Prince executives at Warner Brothers. Its purpose was to distract
the original followers of Prince and to indoctrinate new fans into the
New Power Generation. Information was fed directly from the anti-Prince
factions pipleine to _Uptown_. (This explains how Wright, who routinely
makes spelling errors that would fail a sixth grade student, can "edit" a
magazine.)
The meaning behind "The New Power Generation": Science fiction writer L.
Ron Hubbard surmised that creating a religion would be a financially
lucrative method of control.
There are many similarities between Scientology and the "New Power
Generation" - not by accident or coinicdence, either. Both use
"positivity" as a method of control, to get people to abandon and deny
their critical function. This conditioning makes them follow anything
like sheep.
Paisley Park Records was created as a creative outlet and tax shelter for
Prince. Without Prince's daily involvement, it became a siphon for
Prince's income and a tool to be used against him. For example: an album
by NPG TC Ellis was "released" and quickly deleted by Warners.
"Prince"'s new band was dubbed "The New Power Generation", which
signified the new regime. (It's also a cruel reference to the Bob Crewe
Generation, who did the soundtrack to the softporn classic _Barbarella_.
It is not a coinicidence that one of the NPG is named "Tony Barbarella".)
_Crystal Ball_ tracks were rerecorded by the "New Power Generation".
1988-1992: Many ex-associates sue Paisley Park. Warner Bros. quietly pay
off -- cheap at the price.
George Clinton is in on the coverup, but wisely keeps his mouth shut this
time. As a reward, his album _Hey Man, Smell My Finger_ is finally
released - more than two years after completion - and he is guaranteed a
continued contract with Warner Bros. when Paisley Park Records is shut
down.
1990: Ingrid Chavez receives her payoff by Warner Brothers for her
involvement in the coup. Her double payoff was in the form of a
settlement against Lenny Kravitz and Madonna for "plagurizing" "Justify
My Love" (actually a product of the Leeds think tank), and by a second
"Chavez" composition, "Do Anything" being allowed to hit #1. "Do
Anything" was recorded by a group dubbed Natural Selection; their LP
(released on WEA wing EastWest) was quickly deleted by Atlantic as soon
as the single fell out of the Top 40. (Cut-out copies appeared in some
areas before the song was even off radio playlists!) Foolishly, she
pressed her luck and convinced Paisley Park to release a followup single
("Hippy Blood"), trumpeting her as "the writer of #1 hits "Justify My
Love" and "Do Anything". Fooling no one but herself... Warners cut her
strings... and their puppet fell.
Carmen Electra, impatiently waiting in the wings, gets creative. Her
management begins running cryptic ads on MTV promoting and negotiating
with Sony/Columbia for a record deal.
Sinead O'Connor is permitted to cover Prince's Family song "Nothing
Compares 2 U" against its author's wishes. The single is "payola'ed" to
#1. The reason: to discredit Prince's ability as producer of his own
material. Warners vetoes all attempts to release _The Family_ on CD,
despite its status as the only protege album to spawn a top ten hit
(until the Jam/Lewis/Time payoff album years later).
The real Prince is infuriated by this turn of events. New "Prince"
compositions appear -- some by the Think Tank ("Go-Go Dancer", "Carmen on
Top", "Fantasia Erotica") and some by the NPG.
Persistance paying off, Warners quietly released _Carmen Electra_
intending it to be the last of the protege albums. She is now said to be
considering a film career and returning to erotic club dancing. Her next
recording will appear on Warner Bros. and will be accompanied by a
pictorial in _Playboy_.
1992: The double and the NPG release "My Name is Prince" (meaning: I (the
imposter) am in charge). Infuriated, Prince calls Waronker and tells him
to cut it out IMMEDIATELY.
Prince, fed up with the machinations at NPG and infuriated over the lack
of quality control during _Diamonds and Pearls_ and the "eponymous"
album, issues an ultimatum: he wants the "new Prince" entity
disassociated as much as possible from his work. This effectively meant
splitting the NPG into its own entity; and the suspension of all
activities
with the Paisley Park record label, which was to be mercy-killed; all
recordings deleted from current WEA stock; masters and rights to return
to Prince's possession. This was done.
_Controversy_ Magazine outlives its usefulness -- its publication ceases.
"Prince" (Rector) announces that he is changing his name to the unisex
symbol which had appeared previously. This is due to a loophole in the
compromise struck by the real Prince, allowing Warner Bros. to continue
to issue inferior "Prince" compositions/recordings, so long as his *name*
isn't associated with them.
_The Hits_ is issued - the last release on Paisley Park. The Leeds
brothers see the writing on the wall and solidfiy their alliance with
Waronker.
Nathan Wright "leaks" the Paisley Park Records shutdown to Internet
newsgroups. Less than pleased by his inadvertant press leak, he is later
evicted from Glam Slam by Duane Nelson, Prince's "brother".
"The Most Beautiful Girl in the World", the "debut" single by O+>, is
released on "NPG Records", "distributed by Bellmark" (an "independent"
Mafia front funded by heroin). Payola makes it a top ten single in a
contrived 'showdown' between the double and Prince.
Some lesser-known proteges and associates are brought to the island.
Sheila E., loyal to the real Prince, remarks on a talk show that she
calls him "Prince - (to me, he) always will be." She is then
excommunicated from the New Power Regime, but joins the Leeds/Waronker
alliance and plans to release a jazz album in 1996.
Which brings us up to the present time. Prince Rogers Nelson remains in
retirement and seclusion. He is planning to return to public life in
1998. Until then, the double continues to damage Prince's reputation.
Warring factions within Warners will keep the game going until people
wise up.
WHAT CAN BE DONE:
1. BOYCOTT all "O+>" recordings, releases and appearances. Support
PRINCE instead. When you see false information and propaganda for "O+>"
counter it with truth and reality.
2. DENY the false religion overtoned by "The New Power Generation".
Power CORRUPTS. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Think for YOURSELF.
