Great little informative article. I love how it bridges the music world with the "professional" world and how you have to build connections with your audience, whomever it may be. As many of U know, I teach positive psychology in the Air Force but I also work with the Army. I've worked with the fresh faced 18 year old just out of basic training, to Special Forces and to 2 Star Generals. I talk about building those connections with your people, your family and even yourself. This article hit it on the head and Prince was right as we all have seen over the years. The man can command an audience and make each individual feel important. We joke about "the eyes" but their is truth in that. Eye contact is so important and telling those little stories that connect us all. It's not always easy to connect to people from vastly different backgrounds but with work, it can be done.
