Although JoeTyler and I rarely see eye to eye, Prince's album releases of the last few years HAVE been steaming turds (anyone who likes LotusFailur3 and rates it as an 8/10 in Prince's cannon loses all credibility as a critic).

That being said I feel like we as fans have been waiting for a long time for Prince to set up a website where we can download his music and videos AS he's producing them, and that's more or less what we have right now. I think we had an idea in our head that there would be a bunch of tracks like "Interactive" and "Lolita" and "Guitar." What we got was LOL and That Girl Thang :,(

3rd eye girl could be the start of something great, if Prince continues to update the content. Make whole albums available w/ artwork etc, release audio of classic concerts (why should the bootleggers make all the money?).

In my mind 3rdEyeGirl.com is only for the hard core Prince heads anyway, so why not give us the obscure stuff we want?

yes.... very sad state for the industry right now. But there still is hope for the 'true artist' . There are still 'greats' out and about doing something within the industry, but sadly very little happening these days.

That Girl Thang is Prince noodling around completely uninspired. It sounds like the kind of thing you'd hear being performed at an open mic night....and it wouldn't get any applause.

Breakfast Can Wait is the completely uninteresting sort of Lounge-Funk that we all know Prince can do in his sleep, but we were really hoping he wouldn't. Auto-tuned voice to a dry drum beat and pseudo sexy JW lyrics? give me a break. I feel like he probably recorded most of this WHILE he was eating breakfast. Prince can do this kind of second rate wanna-be R&B at the drop of a hat, and the worst part is he's done it better a hundred other times.

The only tracks he's produced during this whole Andy Allo Era that are worth a darn are:

RnR Affair

Screwdriver (though he should have let Allo sing it, the lyrics would be less silly with a girl singing it)

If I was King (which he should have kept himself)

Boyfriend (not that great, but strong in comparison)

Ain't Gonna Miss u (provided the cruddy recording from the PA turns out to be as good as it sounds)

And what empirical study was done that made you the final authoritative judge on whose aesthetic tastes have credibility??? Could you send that study to me along with the study that unequivocally rated Fruit Loops higher than Captain Crunch?
