Loring pArk sessions a great showcase of early Prince and the band musicianship

I laugh when i read that Eric Leeds introduced Prince to jazz,i also laugh when orgers dismiss Bobby Z. as a drumer. The reason is Lorin Park sessions.Bobby Z is playing some very intricate jazz drums and Prince and the rest of the band kill it on some hot jazz funk jams.

I love this recording. Prince should release it as such as an album if he ever decides to open the vault. no overdubs even needed, it works wonderfully as it is.

Recorded recorded in Owen Husney's(Loring Park Office) rehearsal room in 1977 in Minneapolis, Minnesota when Prince was only 19-years-old. This session consists of Prince, Andre Cymone and Bobby Z Rivkin coming together to throw down eight incredibly funky instrumental tracks. The sound quality is supreme with a groove that leans towards fusion that creates one funky session.

Instrumental 1 (5:32)
Instrumental 2 (6:24)
Instrumental 3 (6:22)
Instrumental 4 (8:42)
Instrumental 5 (7:06)
Instrumental 6 (8:14)
Instrumental 7 (7:45)
Instrumental 8 (6:39)

Harlepolis

I love them. And I hear some subtle moments in Rainbow Children that recall those sessions.

Don't have that boot though, I only have the instrumentals that are included in Work It 2.0. Are they different, sound quality wise?
