Hey, I agree with the "love it or hate it, buy it or don't buy it" sentiment (I would be in the "don't buy it" camp myself), but you can't seriously be suggesting that the people who have been clamoring for Prince to open the vault have been talking about the unreleased video for "Guitar."

I mean, sure, if there was other stuff too then it would be somewhat less galling, but man what a letdown. The fact that it's not even worth $2 to me, a massive Prince fan, is telling.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Personally, I'm thankful for these releases. You can't even buy a bic mac with $1.77. Last three things he released were free with the ability to download. More than fair for an inside look at his new project.

Anyway, I'm thinking P is going to put on a guitar clinic on the road. Sounds like he just letting us know?

I'm sure everyone has different things they'd love to see surface but the fact is (and it's a shocker) we don't get a say. Just hope he keeps going in there and pulling stuff out till you get something you personally desired.

This song and coffee always pumps me up when I'm feeling mellow in the am. Anyways, Nice it was released. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Great song imo and not all good songs have to be complex. Fun to play "Guitar" on THE guitar. When Prince goes off as this song fades I wish it would keep going. Wonder if a longer version exists!

Finally, a full-length video of Guitar and not just the ad version, although I would've preferred a full-length version of that ad version. I'm still scratching my head as 2 why the Screwdriver video has not returned 2 3rdeyegirl.com, all we have now is that live version.

Afterwards, he releases a five year old video for a old single for $1.77. A thing nobody was clamoring for and something most would go "huh" if they stumbled upon it for free on YouTube.

I don't really get why his camp has such trouble figuring out what should be sold and what should be shown.

I don't consider it my job to convince Prince to share the songs from the vault that I've been waiting for him to release for the last 20 years... and I agree with you completely in that he is going to release what he wants to release. It's not a Vault-On-Demand situation, obviously.

That's not going to stop me from having an honest opinion about what he chooses to release, though.

I don't consider it my job to convince Prince to share the songs from the vault that I've been waiting for him to release for the last 20 years... and I agree with you completely in that he is going to release what he wants to release. It's not a Vault-On-Demand situation, obviously.

That's not going to stop me from having an honest opinion about what he chooses to release, though.

Well considering that we've discussed owning well over 300 to 400(if not more) unreleased tracks on this site and we also know several of his past band members have come on here. It stands that he knows we have a bunch of shit we shouldn't have already and therefore makes the point of releasing it moot(other than improved sound quality). So the likelyhood of him sharing 20 year old tracks is pretty slim in my honest opinion. We're more likely to see recent works that haven't leaked already or been discussed to death on the internet.

Finally watched it...

J.J. Abrams would love all this flare.

It's a cool video, but, the quality is awful. The picture has a shimmer too it that is annoying as hell. I don't know if it's because of all the horrid lighting or if it's due to the interlace issue some of you mentioned. Regardless, it looks bad.

I've tranferred VHS tapes that look better than this. It's too bad, too, because it's kind of a fun video.

I was never a big fan of the album track (I did like the demo though), so against my better judgment I bought the video.

Well, that was Thursday AM and I still have not received a download link. I did not create an account on 3EG, but instead just checked out without an account. I've done this with every other item on the site and have not had a problem.

I've emailed them twice, but haven't heard back which gives me the feeling that this 3EG site is DONE.

Same here. I bought it over a week ago and they didn't respond to emails (and yes checked my junk files as well). Had to file a claim with paypal. Would really love to have this video since I leagally bought it.
