Smashing Pumpkins also released a box set of outtakes and demos called "The Aeroplane Flies High".

Bruce Springsteen also released a similar 4-disc compilation called "Tracks".

having heard the unedited 'bootleg' versions and the CB versions such as Crucial, Crystal Ball, etc
I have started to see why Prince edited/mixed some of the songs. Remember the versions we have heard were released without Prince's ok, thus are not the final versions Prince wanted us to hear (or they were part of another older album sequence and he felt they needed different sequencing, such as the start of Movie Star. Editing Good Love was a good call makes the song much punchier without that shitty "good love part 2" shout (plus contractually he can reclaim it, as a different version). the extended guitar solo on crucual is a bit embarrassing and tuneless (maybe a smooth segue into the sax version would of made sense more).
