I would guess the reasoning for this would be to do with Prince having also worked with AEG for an extended residency.

I doubt he'll be called but interesting to see his name on there, along with Ray Parker Jr, DIana Ross and Lisa Marie Presley.

According to docs filed earlier this month, Katherine's legal team plans to call nearly 100 witnesses ... with one of them being Prince.

It's curious, since Prince and MJ never collaborated, but we're hearing Katherine's legal team believes Prince had a bad experience with AEG in the past that could be relevant.

No, but he can't be made to testify unless actually served with a subpoena.

I was in a trial once where a guy hid out for the whole five weeks. No one could serve him, so he avoided being a witness.

He can always have his attorney file a motion to quash the subpoena. The likelihood of Prince being called to the stand is low anyway and the reason Katherine Jackson's legal team is considering using him is because they believe he had a bad experience working with AEG, but considering he's still alive, making money and still thriving in the business, the move to call on him would be futile.

Well, Prince's O2 run of 21 nights was the model used as the basis for This Is It. So they may be looking to get the perspective of the artist and Prince is really the only person who could give that perspective.

The only problem Prince had with AEG was about the sound quality of the venue of a March 2009 concert. Michael Jackson's problems with AEG has more to do with MJ's ill health and the hiring of a doctor that AEG claims they did not hire. Without sounding harsh, MJ ultimately is at fault for his untimely death. I can't imagine Prince actually being deposed or going to court for KJ.
