because she is still a part of his music scene
I think people are being a bit to judgemental of Prince & Andy
even the style of clothing/costume she's wearing is the same as Prince and the 3rd Eye girls Remember some of her early performances of her Superconductor stuff was with NPG band members probably until she formed her own band/her video for People Pleaser features NPG, Prince's RRLove Afrair features Andy

When Prince and I worked on the album, 'Superconductor,' he executive produced and arranged it. [He] also co-wrote three songs with me. That experience was incredible. It's very educational. I would just watch him. You're in presence of someone who has so much experience and so much knowledge," Allo said of working with Prince. "At the same time he gave me that space to blossom and grow."
Allo is taking her time with her third studio album. She's currently writing new material such as her latest song, "One Step Closer," which she performed exclusively for Billboard.

Andy is nice but has zero sex appeal. She seems more like a kid than an adult. I couldnt see them dating seriously even if they were which Im not sure that they even are but it doesnt seem like it. Some one mentioned the age difference and thats definitely a fact to consider.

Yea I agree she does act like a kid and is overly silly at times BUT she is very pretty in person. She reminds me of a young Mayte, you know how she looked all sweet, innocent and child-like in interviews. In one of the Prince biographies I remember them remarking he likes them to seem young and he preferred "good girls". Just glad the girl is getting her due on her own now.

Very funny $100 guitar. At stores, anyway. You'll closer to $150 if you buy it online. Epiphone Specials are barely playable. If she made this sound good then she's better than most. Ugh.

Purple protége Andy Allo emerged recently to perform “If I Was A King” – a second-line inspired funk number from her 2012 album Superconductor. The album, which features Prince on a few tracks, is her first release since joining the New Power Generation as a singer and guitarist in 2011. The performance aired last week as the latest installment of DirecTV’s Guitar Center Sessions with Allo flanked by a gleaming cream colored axe, a fringed mic stand and at least a handful of her NPG bandmates. “If I Were A King” begins with the pomp and circumstance of a royal march. Stomping through the first track Allo’s performance quickly turns into a short jam as the band hops into “People Pleaser” – the second track on Superconductor. Anyone longing for Prince could surely hear him there in spirit by the time the funk finished hitting the fan, what with Allo and her band dumping the whole entire can of stank on the stage by the end of the track.

To be fair and consitent (egads what a concept), this post is in the wrong forum.
Many other more legit threads were banished to other forums that dealth with Prince and___
Just becasue the other artists mentioned along with Prince relegated it to either music & more or associated artists sections

Singer-songwriter Andy Allo met Prince at an event with the Africa Channel in L.A. last year (Andy is originally from Cameroon), and it was love at first sight...er, sound. "We jammed a couple of times, and it was really cool. I wasn't nervous around him because he's such a comfortable person. We were joking around, and I realized right from the get-go that I could be myself," Andy says of first meeting the pop legend. (Editor's note: I would be shaking in my boots!) Clearly, the feeling was mutual: Soon enough, she was touring with Prince and the NPG all over Europe.
These days, Andy is out and about promoting her solo album, Superconductor. The album has a throwback vibe that we can't get enough of—with influences ranging from James Taylor to Nina Simone. "I also got into funk artists like James Brown. That's why there are a lot of horns on the record," she says. She'll be on tour this year, which is a good thing for the self-proclaimed tour addict. No sleep? No problem. "I don't think I've actually caught up on my sleep from last year!" Check out the video for her single "People Pleaser" here. And, um, how utterly stunning is Andy?!

EBONY: Superconductor was executive produced Prince. Six of the tunes you wrote, but three you co-wrote, including the title track, with him. In addition to “Superconductor,” you also collaborated on “The Calm,” and “Gone,” am I correct? AA: Yes. It’s “Long Gone.”
EBONY: Would you consider Prince to be your mentor? I know you’d been in the industry long before you came under his tutelage. AA: Right. I wouldn’t say that long [in the industry]. But yes, I had released a record before and was doing things independently. Absolutely, he’s a mentor. He’s kind of taken me under his wing and taught me a lot. When he asked me to join NPG, it was a challenge because I was surrounded by these incredible musicians who’re years and years ahead of me. So, in that sense, it was a challenge to kind of be the new girl in the group. And also, I feel like I’m still so new as an artist.
EBONY: What year did you actually join NPG? AA: Last year.
EBONY: Did you first join as a guitarist? Did he then suggest, “Let’s do an album?” AA: I joined as the guitarist and vocalist. When we first...
