what old mrs mcleary said about prince

old mrs mcleary was a sweet wise old woman that lived in a humble home in our street... she was loved by everyone in the neighbourhood.. and we would all go to her for advice

anyway... time passed and she got very sick... i was 16 at the time and went to visit her in hospital... the last thing she said to me as she squeezed my hand was "when you're older, respect your wife, and don't cheat on her... and most importantly, don't buy bootlegs of prince's music... if you do, you'll surely burn in the fiery pits of hell"

then she took her last breath, and passed away

just thought i'd share

*sniff*

duckie,

I guess Ol' Mrs Mcleary must have partaken in a few boots herself...
Perhaps, you should have played her The Grand Progression as she departed this Earthly plane...

May she be at peace now, my child.

love,
Spirit

I know her! I visited the area back in the 80's and folks told me about her as she was the neighborhood advice lady.

I just made my way by happenstance to her and we conversed. I let on that I wa a big Prince fan and ya know what she told ME?

"Don't buy the Black album. He's sorry."

She also said, "If anybody ever tries to tell you Prince was onstage with James Brown and Michael Jackson - they're lying."

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

she told me about you... she was very moved that you sent her a feather boa to say thankyou... her sons (the mcleary boys) knew how much it meant to her so they made sure she was wearing it when they buried her
