i haven't but then again .. i'm a troll .. i listened to most of them but they have been horrible so far .. plus mp3's .. i have never been willing to pay for that garbage .. when he puts a wave up of a song that does not make me cringe i will gladly support .. i swore off supporting this shite after lotus ... prince gonna have to try harder to get paid anymore

I just bought them this week. I fall behind sometimes, especially during the NPGMC years. I don't wanna fall behind again.

Things are too hit or miss right now. I like consistent, quality service.

The last two releases, Boyfriend & That Girl Thing, are ONLY available as WAV files. You can't get more lossless than that.

i was two seconds away from buying boyfriend..got to the paypal page and then saw the songs were uploaded some where and i clicked cancel

I realise people have different reasons for being on this site, but to hang out on here as much as some on this thread do, only to say that you won't fork out a few dollars for new Prince music...I just don't get it.

Half the available songs are in WAV format and by far the majority of people have had smooth transactions.

It doesn't mean that there aren't issues or that improvements can't be made (I'm looking forward to every song offering a choice of formats - preferably MP3 and FLAC), but you're hardly taking a big financial risk, shelling out 88c to check out a song.

As for Nursev's justification that you just want to wait a while...why? Is Screwdriver going to sound better in March? Is Boyfriend more of an April song? In another thread recently you described yourself as "bored as f**k". Great news! I have the perfect solution. Listen to all the new music that's been released so far this year!

I am enjoying the single releases more than I thought I would. As someone said recently, getting a few days in between each song gives me time to really listen to and digest every one - something that might not happen quite so much with an album, where you tend to latch onto a couple of favourites straight away.

If someone extended that idea and only downloaded one song every couple of weeks, I'd get that - although personally, I'd still buy them and download them, just in case, even if I didn't listen to them straight away.

Each to their own, I know. I just find it a little baffling that people are Prince fans to the extent that they're an active, posting member of an unofficial fan site* - at least one of whom posts regularly about how much she looooves Prince - and yet these very people, who should arguably be the first ones lining up to buy new music as it becomes available (which his fan base have been pleading with him to put up for years) are casually holding back, waiting for a better time to enjoy them, or to get lossless (which are already there) or because they've listened to them once and decided that they couldn't possibly grow on them and that there's no chance they'll get their 88c worth.

As for the poster who is brutal about their absolute unwillingness to spend pocket change on new, official music in several threads and yet starts a whole new one in order to advertise illegal material that they expect fans to spend money on (and the difference is...? More expensive? Worse quality?), it's a joke that they're even tolerated here.

Time is a valuable thing too, so here's my advice. If 88c means so much to you that you'll refuse to spend it on new Prince music, then don't waste your time around here - the time you spend posting is surely worth miles more than what it would cost to grab some new, good, fun - mostly lossless - Prince music over at 3rdeyegirl.com.

*Hatrina is an obvious exception in all of this IMO - she's always been perfectly clear about why she's here and it's fairly obvious why she'll probably never buy them

its really a shame that Prince finally tries out the internet and his fans will not support him. Its just really a shame. Chances are Prince will probably stop realeasing the music if noone supports him. I know I would. He really does have the worst fans out there. They are never happy with anything that man does!! He has my support!! The songs are not 80s classics but they ARE good!! I wish he would put up a song a day!!
