Very Rare PRINCE Autographed Photo I recently read an old post about someone wanting to find an authentic Prince autograph. My question is--how does anyone know that any of them are real (including the one above) unless someone who has the autograph was there to witness the signing? COAs aren't any guarantee... I have an autographed copy of the Dirty Mind vinyl that I bough on eBay years ago. It came with a Certificate of Authenticity, but the skeptic in me keeps thinking there's a chance it's not real. The more I see of other items autographed by Prince, the more I'm convinced my autographed record is legit. well i've seen plenty of items he has wrote and signed, and the examples i used are official items, so it's unlikely he would use a fake sig on official stuff like tourbooks, unless he wanted forgers to copy the wrong signature
even someone who doesn't know much about handwriting can tell you the ways letters are formed are different in those different pictures, but the two examples i posted are the same. look at the letter o for example
also prince didn't start adding the love god bit to signatures until later in the 80s, long after that photo, and most signatures then were signed as "P" not "Prince" | |

You can't compare pre-printed signatures that he had lots of time to compose with rushed autographed he signed for fans in the late 80's. RR Auction is the leading monthly auction house in the world and have a stellar reputation and lifetime guaranty when it comes to their stuff. I don't work for them but have been buying from them for many years with no complaints.

yes you can
and you can compare them to other items that are real and handwriten and signed and spot similarities, likewise you can compare them and other items that are real and handwritten to the item on sale and tell it's fake
so don't waste your money. i'd suggest you report the item as fake to the company so they end the sale and don't enter into a fraudulent transaction
it's interesting that you say you don't work for the company but your email address has part of the companies name in it though. it sounds like you are complicit with fraud | |

just quoting for the record, but why is that you're email address when you say you don't work for the company, yet you sign up to this site the shortest number of days before posting, and you only post to promote this sale, which is clearly fake and fraudulent?

just google that email addresss to find you trolling the web for autographs. it's no wonder you end up with fakes if that's how you come across them

How do you know? People buy these things with no provenance... A Certificate of Authenticity is no guarantee that you have the real thing...
