He probably forgot about it around 77 minutes after he mentioned it to that French radio station or wherever else he said it. So the only speculation, is that it would have included longer versions of songs like Laydown, Act of God, etc...that sounded a little short. It also would have probably had a few songs like Rich Friends, and Cause And Effect.

Even though I wasn't crazy about some of the outtakes from that era, I made a cdr like this:

1-10 20Ten album

11 Cause And Effect

12 Hot Summer

13 In A Large Room With No Light(2009 Version)

14 The Morning After

15 Turn Me Loose

16 Rich Friends

17 F.U.N.K.

Yeah, Hot Summer was pretty lame, and Morning After and FUNK were pretty old by then, but Turn Me Loose fits nice. Only wish Prince had the balls to let the radio play it without talking all over it. It's a good song, but not some groundbreaking shit that would change society if we had a nice interruption free version of it.

So that's my pathetic attempt to make my own 20Ten Deluxe.

I may redo it and put Hot Summer last, so I never have to skip it.

Seeing the title of the thread.. brought Fdeluxe to mind.. I kinda wonder if the idea got scratched because of the whole Family/ Fdeluxe situation and 20ten-deluxe just kind of bringing each other to mind.. dunno....

How can you put The Morning After on a 20Ten deluxe? It's a lotusflow3r track.

I like Hot Summer boxed

What? How does the DJ talking over the last 20 seconds impact your impression of the song? And how is Prince responsible for what/when the DJ started speaking? Remember that Turn Me Loose was played repeatedly over the course of a day. It just so happens that the recording we have features that enthusiasitc ending, but it's entirely possible that the whole track was aired without interruption at another time.

To me, it sounds obvious that Same Page, Different Book came from this project. It has the same vibe as Rich Friends and a simplistic approach ala the original album.

Oh, I'm sorry, you're right. I should like the song more because of the DJ. I never said the DJ impacted me liking the song. Like many have said on here about songs with interruptions, I am annoyed by it.

I didn't say you should like it more, smartass, but you suggest that it's somehow lessoned because of that DJ bit. If it bugs you that much, you could always use Audacity or something to fade it out early.

Good thing you told me about that. I never would have known.

Since Prince never apparently worked on 20Ten Deluxe, I made it my own way. In my world, an album is what is on the physical release. And if there is somebody who only thinks digital, then Crimson And Clover is an outtake....it's all opinion.

Same Page is from 2011, it was recorded after he started the welcome 2 america tour and links in with songs black muse, we live to get funky and welcome 2 america.

rich friends was supposed to be on 20ten delux as were other songs that featured just prince, with drum machines being central to the album.

For Bart's sake, it's just a damn cdr I made. Prince himself put a Kamasutra track on Emancipation, and has done tons of things that don't make sense.
