I've purchased most of my music through my work computer. It's legit. I don't see his excuse. If he can post on here he should be able to purchase those songs.

downloading music is fast becoming THE way to buy and listen to music - its pretty instant compared to going to the shops or ordering a CD online. it's fairly cheap (even free if u know what i mean) and easy to file/compile/store/listen/share etc etc.
I like this system of music collecting it works for me (i still buy old skool Cds, but rip them straight to mp3). it also took me a while to move over from cds - but i did once i got a computer and an ipod.
but even this form of music is gonna struggle with the radio/streaming/spotify type of thing already biting at its heals. i would be against moving over to this form of music but would obviously do it if it became the only way (unlike many stuck-in-the-muds who flat out refuse to buy mp3s - which i find bizarre!
many people must of cried big tears when tape cassettes stopped being made - but they must of migrated at some point!

I think Prince realizes how easy dl is. He does not need a record compny ot rlease his music. So he doesnt have to go lookking for a deal. And even if so, he now knows theres not many left so he isnt going to get some big ass payday probably so why not do it digital..where he gets almost all of the recoup? Dont have to fiddle with art, booklets, cd pressings etc etc. "Climb in my fur."

In the survey I did recently of Prince fans, I discovered that as many people wanted physical music (ie. CD, vinyl, blu ray, etc...) available for purchase as digital. More of us buy music at record stores than use iTunes.
I think that for the Prince fan community, physical music products absolutely are not dead and downloading is not "THE" way to buy music.
HOWEVER, it IS the quickest, easiest and most cost efficient way for Prince to get this music to us, one song at a time, and (particularly now that we're getting lossless) I think it's very exciting. I'd still love it all on a CD (or even vinyl - fingers crossed!) at some stage, but for now, I'm happy just to have them at all.
As others have said, how silly to post to an internet forum, complaining that not everyone has access to the Internet. Yes, the argument has merit in the wider sense (ie. maybe getting CDs into record stores would help reach a percentage of people without net access), but no one can seriously post here about their inability to download the tracks...surely?
How on earth would it help to put them on Amazon? What makes Amazon easier than 3rdeyegirl.com?
The only possible explanation I can think of is that you could potentially order a CD from Amazon, whereas you have to have enough bandwidth to download the files from 3EG.
I do agree that there should be two options for downloading - lossy and lossless (ie. MP3 and - ideally - FLAC or else WAV), so that people with harsher download limits can grab the MP3s, but I have no idea if that's even what Joel was getting at.
Ultimately I think people just like to feel hard done by. Seriously, if you're that stuck, give money to a friend to purchase them and burn them onto a CD for you. It's not rocket surgery.
Wait, wait, wait...using the internet for info, not entertainment? Like your music the old school way? Yeah, ok. I was a bit slow, but I'm onto you now, stickman. It all sounds very familiar. Well played

Amazon doesn't serve worldwide, 3rd eye girl does.

If you order a CD from Amazon, they'll ship it anywhere in the world, right?
Goodness me, if they send them all the way to Australia, surely they send them everywhere else!

Dig the song...not as much as the other newbies but a decent track none-the-less. I am considering it a good "album track" if he still did albums.
I have had absolutely no problem downloading the songs so far.

Back in the day, James Brown used to put out a new song just about every 2 weeks, and if you wasn't fast enough going to the record store, then more than likely you had to wait for the next shipment or listen to it at one of your friend's house or just wait by the radio to hear the new song. You're typing from a computer so how is the music is not accessible to you unless you just don't own a computer at home, Besides, you can always burn the music to a cd, and then you will have it in physicial form, but without liner notes. Great slinky little track.
'Boyfriend' is the kind of funk I like to hear Prince doing. It has his unique stamp on it. In terms of production it recalls some of his 80s work, which is no bad thing.
Fun, playful and quirky. In terms of Prince's soul/funk output, I have to say I find this and 'Breakfast Can Wait' very promising.

This is probably an outtake from the early 90s. The horns are exactly from that period. The beat was probably recently tacked on.
The song is good, but most songs back then were. What part of new doesn't this guy understand? All you others say Hell Yea!!

I have been completely mesmerized by The Charade, that song is so incredibly good, I've played it over and over for weeks and weeks!
It sounds totally Prince & The Revolution to me (on their best day). I can't wait for D's new album!!!

Yeah I remember him posting about that. And yeah your 451 days seems accurate as it seems that Quest and Dangelo, believe like Prince, that time is a trick lol. "Climb in my fur."

Yeah. There's something about some of the keyboard lines that scream Prince era 85-86. He outdid Prince on his own style with that. Its almost like he played a Prince and The Rev bootleg that we've never heard. "Climb in my fur."
