To us Europeans there's no difference between south and north, only that the people in the south are racist, drive huge pick-ups and own guns.
How would you describe the song's meaning in your own local Chicago slang?

How would you describe the song's meaning in your own local Chicago slang? The same way you did, but without "minge". Pussy, but not fanny, because that would be her ass. Or it could be.

"...making love is like surgery."
Yes I understand the exact and precise nature he is explaining but surgery? I think I've mentioned it before but surgery!? Scalpels, stitches, swabs, blood, slicing through obese bellies... all these things I think of when I hear the word surgery.
Now unless you're into some really weird kinky shit I find it hard to stomach surgery and love making in the same sentence. Images of bound women being tortured and raped leap into my mind. The few misogynistic horror movies that I've witnessed probably don't help matters (for the record I don't enjoy these types of movies as I find them damaging, both personally and socially).
Surely he must have thought long and hard on this choice but what happened for him to not make such a strong comparison, or did he just skip over it as the word fitted and his thesaurus wasn't to hand?

From a British perspective it's always really funny when Americans use fanny in place of arse. Just read the below thinking of a pussy.
Ooh, the fucker kicked me right in the fanny! I like to keep things in my fanny pocket. Nothing like a big wobbly fanny. A fanny so big you could park your bike in it. And so on.

I'm learning a lot here. Thank you for the lesson. 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

One of my favorite songs & what I always imagined saying to Prince one day. Peace in the House of Prince.

Is this where Boys 2 Men got their style from? Or did Prince rip off the style that was popular back then? My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/tundrah

I still think of it as simply meaning "healing"...

Interesting... yeah, that's the second possibility, probably. But I always got the impression he's singing about the typical love-song "sexual healing" kinda thing...

My missus would love this thread.
The song's one of her favourites anyway but the word "Minge" always makes her chuckle for some reason. Seems a bit 'Bo Selecta' putting 'minge' with I Love U In Me. Fook.

Have you got the emergency phone number?
I haven't seen it so I looked it up. Didn't find that but I did see Kelly saying she'd let him "Smash her back doors in". Who wouldn't?

i see it as God is in all of us as the light/love. When we fall in love with another, we are often falling in love with an aspect of oneSelf that is reflected in the othe - realizing that we are falling or going higher in love with God and His many aspects that we reflect out.
The Sun has no warmth of its 'own' - Earth sends the Love out and the Sun transmutes the Love to Warmth and sends it back to us. God AllOne.</p> I found what u say really interesting radahone. I've thought for a while that there is something incredibly spiritual/universal about the sun & sunshine. If u think how the sun's rays can create & make the whole natural plant part of the planet grow & thrive, to me there must something magical or supernatural within than sunlight doing this. It's life giving, just like God. We humans depend on the natural sunlight too to be strong & thrive. And even the colours in the spectrum of light, I love to wonder them when they sit on my skin or I see all these magnificent rainbow colours in a strand of my hair in the sunlight. But I'm sure I don't just see spectrum colours, the colour seems alive with energy. Reminds me of a discussion I had with my father when I was a teenager, just driving along a road one summers day, looking down the hill to the sea & the island across the water. And in our ponderings I asked him what made the colours in our world? He said sunlight/ spectrum/ white light etc... But it struck me that maybe it was love that made colour. I thought more we (man) loved & sent out our love, the brighter the colours of the world would be. Sorry, just having a quiet Sunday morning coffee looking in2 the garden at the tulips starting to push up, the birds are beginning to sing once more (thank u Lord!) the sun is actually shining for a change & the fresh smell of Spring is nearing & in the air & I suddenly remembered ur post.

Nope, I think you'll find it's the cones in the eye that allow us to see colours. Rods for difference of light and dark. We all have different amounts, meaning some of us can see colours better and some people have better night vision. Not sure that love plays a part in all this. Do we have any blind orgers to verify the love statement? Lol. As for the sun's warmth being generated by our love? Hmm, not sure where you heard that one. Personally I thought it was a great ball of burning gases and stuff. I don't think it's choosey about who it warms up. What are your thoughts on natural forest fires in places like Oz or skin cancer? Negative vibes being sent to the sun in place of love or something else? Oh, what about the poles? Are the people there devoid of love? An abundance of it across the equator it would seem

sounds about right to me too. She knows how to make love with skills that can be compared to the experience preciseness and dedicated study that a surgeon has to have to do his job. If your perfection is what matters between life and death. She is soo good she should have had a diploma for it, lol. My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/tundrah
