Yess! When I was 14 (2years ago) I dressed up like prince for Halloween. I got the wig, the blouse with the ruffles, I sewed some big buttons on the sides of some black skinny jeans, I got black booties, I had the long purple coat( sewed a patch of studs on the shoulder) and I had some circular glasses like the ones from purple rain. I went out trick or treating and I ended up going to dr finks house..I didnt recognize him but he saw that I was prince and invited me into his house and showed me his Grammys. Id say i had a pretty good experience dressing up as prince, and I still have all the clothes. Don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine
Purple music does the same 2 my brain And I'm high, so high

I can relate to this. Actually, I was a tomboy... Til I found Vanity 6. Dang, I wanted to look like Vanity. Of course, I don't walk around with lingerie or camisoles like Susan, but I use blouses with lace details and fishnets sometimes, Or girly dresses with gloves, heels and stuff.
And As for Prince, No, Ive never tried to dress like him... But sometimes I try to do my makeup Like he used to do During the Parade era :B

I did have a black long sleeve shirt with white polka dots, but they were popular at the time. At The Gap. I must say that Prince pushing the dots helped with the decision, but it was around 1989-90. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

I used to have a really floppy hoodie I thought looked Graffiti Bridge-ish. Other than that, not much a suburban white boy in the early 90s could do without gettin' his ass kicked. It was bad enough I had the Prince longbox and Symbol hangin' in my locker.

well, i do have some Prince inspired stuff. I have the lace gloves, but i have those almost 8 years, and this is way before i became Prince fan, because actually i was inspired by Madonna to wear those. I do have a jacket that is bit purple rain inspired, at least that's what people tell me all the time... i did have bit like the haircut aka Purple Rain for some time, but you know i have had so many haircuts.

This is a photo of me lypsynching to Kiss back in 1994. I was 17 years old and a Form 7 at High School (Senior year). We had a school talent competition, and my performance I got second.

I was wearing a white shirt, with a ruff sewn on by my mother, purple track pants, about half a litre of Wella hair gel in my hair and I had a guitar made out of cardboard coloured purple with love symbols all over it.
It had people in hysterics and I had dancing girls and a dude playing a real guitar with a blonde wig (Very poor wendy rip off, he could play the axe though).
I remember humping the floor and screaming and all the rest.
I won $25 which I promptly spent on a copy of "Come" Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

yeah to some extent. not really how but in the over all style. it is hard to explain. But he always had a cohesiveness. But I did buy some shirts that were collarless or had some pattern and one silk poka dot shirt.
But more than that I tried to move... or rather walk like prince (on a side note my eyes are making it all but imposable for me to see atm). I tried to move very fluid. As if there was no difference between walking or standing still.
**i had some kind of ocular migraine, I was seeing lights and colors.

HEEEEELLLLLSSSS no! Only influence Prince ever had on Cerebus' fashion evolution would be in the 8th grade (1984) when he wore his hair short on one side, swept over long to the other side with eyeliner.

I remembered back in the day, we did this talent show at the college I went to, and I did Sheila E. I wore my hair like hers with the lace headband tied to the side, and a lace black catsuit, high heels, and black fingerless lace gloves. When I tell you the crowd went mad wild, they went wild
