a song a day for .99 per download!! It can be a mixture of studio, live, rehearsal, remix. Thats $7.00 a week and we could have a overload and Prince would be everyone's hero again and plus he would be CRAZY RICH!! Everyone is happy!! Keep the songs up for limited time only so it keeps everyone coming back daily/weekly for the new tunes. DVD dowloads or physical mail order would be great too!! The more the better. If he did this he could then tour for a cheap rate ticket rate as he would be PAID from the downloads and the touring would be a GREAT way to attract more people to his site and new music. It could be INCREDIBLE!! He would EASILY be the highest paid Musician year end and year out and would completely break a new ground.

Yes, but it encourages latecomers to get the material from bootleggers = lost revenue. Once something is out of print (or otherwise no longer available to purchase legitimately), bootlegging and piracy fill the void.

Other than that, I love the idea of a song every day. He should do that for a year. I'd drop $365 ($1 at a time) on that easily.

I really would love a DVD from Prince, Montreux would do just fine! BUT, If he combined some of the 'W2...' series it would be just as worth it!

Music! I don't mind anything Prince wants to release that he really enjoys! I'm not picky when it comes to where Prince is! As for the price, if he is selling individual songs....

About? 1.00 seems fair for one song.

AN Album I would like to physical, but it does not have to be. I really don't mind mp3's although they lack tremendously! Physical is always better! I would pay up to 20.00 for a new album, but I really would purhcase anything he wants to give. Eye see whatever he does as an effort to please the fans. This year seems to be surrounded around the great things he has planned. I think he is going to surprise more way than many! smile

It's very unlikely that I'll buy any new Prince studio music ever again. It seems as if his new material continues to sound very conventional and unexciting to my ears.

So the only thing I could feel the need to buy are some quality vault tracks from the 80s (e.g. original Crystal Ball configuration, Camille etc.) or a live release that actually lives up to his qualities as a live performer.

  • Any good quality new or old studio music (lossless or HighRes, no mp3's please!)

  • Interesting Live DVD's (preferably Blu Ray)

  • Remasters of his 80's output

I'd rather buy cassettes than mp3s. I guess that says it all. I'd prefer a regular album, but if that's not gonna happen, I'll gladly buy some singles (without Jamie Lewis remixes). It would be nice to be able to go to a store and buy it there - I'm pretty old-fashioned like that (but I guess I could make an effort and order online)! Obviously, I'm also interested in buying DVDs (no Blu-ray) and concert tickets.

New music, previously unreleased music, live shows maybe if they're special/unique shows.

I'm happy at this point to download music, as long as it's lossless. It's all very nice to have quick direct 3rdeyegirl thing on youtube, it's hardly novel, but a step in the right direction for Prince - but like other one off songs in recent years I fear this will these songs only release.

I like Screwdriver, I would buy it on CD, if that takes too long for Prince's fleeting interests he can put the lossless version up on 20pr1nc3.com today and I'd buy it today.

whatever format, i'll hand over my cc details for:

01. outtakes from the period between 1979 and 1999.

02. new music. the more the better

03. soundboard concert audio

i'll pick up concert video or dvd releases if they are released, but it's not something

i'm really hoping for.

what i want the most is just music. studio songs. a combination between outtakes

and new stuff would be great.

soundboard concerts would be great too.

Agreed, one thousand times over.

All this mumbo jumbo and talk around asking what fans want and 'new ideas' is just hogwash to make you people think another pay or subscription site is going to be any different than the old ones.

The Fams (obsessive Prince freaks) might just do that, but not the fans (well thinking person with a life and mind of his own). At least that is my impression. Many fans are disgruntled with Prince, his recent music and his websites, and have been very vocal about it.

So for Prince to take the bet that fans will buy anything, I don't think he should count on that! I know I am not buying just anything Prince anymore, these days are over for me...

Will buy:

  1. Remasters (it's criminal we didn't have these fifteen years ago)
  2. Concerts on blu-ray (but not if they're all f-ed up like Aladdin Las Vegas)
  3. New albums (NOT singles. I buy a new album and I get lots of Prince [whether I like it or not]. I hear a new stand-alone single once, and I say 'oh yeah, cool', and I forget all about it... and Prince doesn't get my $1. But if he bundles ten songs together on a cd, he gets my $20.

Won't buy:

  1. Merchandise (I'm all grown up now, thank you)
  2. Tickets for arena shows ($250 for a matchstick-sized Prince didn't sit well with me)
  3. 'Memberships' to anything (nope, nope, and nope)

vault songs/high quality bootlegs on CD... NO remakes of released songs (the issue with crystal ball as way too much of it was songs that had been officially released)

I'd pay for digital downloads, no problem. Offer them lossless and it's no differnt to CD, can even be better than CD thesedays.

I don't mind high bit rate MP3 either.

and no DRM protections like were on the NPGMC songs that we are not locked out of...

music. video. nothing else needed. not even pre-sale concert tickets, but that's nice too.

I don't even need a physical release. Frankly, after I realized that I don't use physical media at all any more, and it just sits on a shelf after being ripped for my iPhone or iPad, it was a lot easier to decide to stop buying it altogether. though I will for my absolute favorites.

if I never have need to buy another physical CD or DVD (or book, newspaper, magazine or comic, for that matter) again, I wouldn't be the least bit unhappy and have a lot more space. I carry 2 devices with me and it's liberating. and there's a lot less clutter. I'd really love to have no use for all of these shelves.

DRM presents a problem, but it's easily enough circumvented with a little research and a slight effort.

I'd buy anything music-centered. Videos, live, old and new songs, albums. Anything in any format, just need that it's good quality material, with a reasonable price, and that can reach my italian home without emptying my wallet completely! Thanks!

Oh, tickets for the next world tour would be welcome, too (there will be one, this I'm quite sure).

Not that I really think he'd listen to fans requests, but... You can call me a dreamer, too wink

I would buy online albums, singles...

LIVE versions of old stuff.. HOW ABOUT AN ACOUSTIC VERSION OF 'I WISH U HEAVEN'.. how many times do i have to pray 4 this!

LIVE shows.. even though i own all the circulating stuff... give us some DEEP RELIC...

REHEARSAL footage.. that part at the end of the BBC documentary when he is playing the LADDER on the piano.. OMG!

ID KILL to see footage of him recording Tamborine... THIS IS THE STUFF I NEED!

REISSUE OLD TEES.. they go for SO SO SO much on ebay... reissue them on your site.. like the lovesexy tees..

GARAGE SALE: man, i would have killed for a prop from the SOTT era!!!!! put it on your site.. do it auction style.. donate the profits.. its a great PR move

DONT OVERWHELM us with too much miscellaneous product... notebooks, candles, mugs, etc.. a few is OK.. but then it gets crazy and too much to keep track of.. a FEW well done items to brand your name, new album etc

IM TOTALLY IN.. just do it!

I'd love to have a pro-shot of a concert from each tour, and would easily pay £10-15 for each DVD.

Some vault stuff obviously, maybe even original configurations of rumoured albums or ones that weren't released.

And, it's a shame he's just into jams now and not albums as I remember the excitement of looking forward to new albums and the way that they fit together as a whole.

Fingers crossed some of us will be pleased!
