ok this is a big event 4 prince and his career i have a idea of how it should go down and i just wanna hear everybody ideas on how they feel it should go down

ok they have 3 stages set up

stage 1 (era1of his career) with the revolution including wendy,dez,lisa, matt,bobby,brownmark and andre they perform 3 of his songs i wanna be your lover, lets go grazy and purple rain

stage 2 the npg era sonny t, michael b,shelia e,rhona smith,levi seacer jr, morris hayes and rento

performing diamonds and pearls with rosie gains,7 and the work

stage 3 current addiation performing screwdriver musicology and ??

they can open his showcase with a mini performance by the time

tell me what yall think lets be positive and share the prince love

Prince performs with his current backing band to play 3 greatest hits and one new song.

let's go (fucking) crazy!!! 2013, crazyness is commonplace. this is several months from now

There will be some kind of tribute (other artist performances[maybe],video montage[definitely]) to Prince. Prince's performance will be with his current cabal of talent and will probably push 3 to 4 songs max(2 new tracks/2 classics). They're not going to turn the entire show into a Prince concert. Oh and The Time broke up last year, if they can't get their act together for themselves then they aren't going to get it together for Prince.

yall act like yall dont remember the naacp awards prince took over that and did it all himself like a mini concert.tributes are broing and its hard for me 2 digest others doing prince songs they normally ruin them. and if people havent notice past years when prince bring them time with him its only morris and jerome so maybe thats the time in his eyes

The NAACP Awards are not a music awards show. Billboards is. There are other high profile acts performing and receiving awards. NAACP can let a music act get a little extra shine to liven up the proceedings. Billboards has other performances to consider.

I assume the tribute will consist of a "tribute" video that will mostly feature Mr. P from the 80s, ignoring for the most part his 90s and beyond work save maybe token shots of the D&P and TMBGITW. Then a medley of tracks, mixture of greatest hits with P's newest offerings from his upcoming album. Or just the latter?
