NpgOnline... 3rdEyeGirl... Let's Do The Dance Electric

I remember back in my "single" days, before the days of marriage and kids and bills, when I was part of the NPG Music Club. I purchased music then, as I do now, and recall a package that came in the mail I wasn't expecting: "The Ware" on cassette. Again, I didn't order this, nor knew it was coming, but it was a great treat to come home to after a hard day's work.

Purchasing my first tracks off of 3rdEyeGirl.com, the site asked for my name and address. This makes me wonder: Will there be a special package in the mail sometime from our friends in the Twin Cities we didn't expect, such as that "The War" cassette back in the day?

Additionally, listening to his performances of "The Dance Electric", I can't help but wonder if this may be something he's re-recorded and is waiting to upload to the 3rdEyeGirl website for a measly .88 cents soon?

The War casette was sent out well before the NPG Music Club. It was shipped during the Love4OneAnother days, as an apology for the Crystal Ball delays.

That aside, it would certainly be cool to get a surprise in the mail, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

No, he hasn't. He played it at one of the Chicago aftershows.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Wow, my cassette came late! I'm a little jealous because I've read that some got this on CD, if I'm remembering correctly.

RdHull: You don't like that track? When I listened to it from the Jimmy Kimmel show I was floored. The sound was still 1983-84 to me, and brought about a bit of a euphoric feeling. I'm not a fan of the original version as much as I am this performance, so I'd like to hear a re-recorded studio cut of this. it's probably one of the few I wouldn't mind buying not in its original recording.

Listening to that rehearsal on Dr. F's site now. Wish I'd have brought my iPad with me this morning so I could remote into my home computer and save this off his website. Guess I'll have to create another CD when I get home. I'm really digging this.

Thanks PaisleyPark4!

I wonder if those who buy the music off of the new site will get something by mail, other than a Lotus Flow3r T-shirt. ALTHOUGH, for me it'd be free because I wasn't able to put in my $77 at the time to join that particular venture. In hindsight, I'm glad I wasn't able to.
