like dvd's haven't been 'suggested' for at least a dozen times since 2004.
whenever i allow myself to actually get excited by news about possible dvd releases i just play the Aladin dvd and that puts me back in check in no time.
sorry to be such a grumpy old man, but it is what it is.
i'll take a single release of "screwdriver" with perhaps a nice b-side over some concert where prince sings 2 out of 10 songs himself anyday.

He's been able to restrain himself for over two years since his last album, that is a good sign for 2013. I would like him to release funky music with a modern sound and Princey touch that is appreciated by his fans and beyond. | |

Big?In what way?
Actual Album sales? (in the old wrecka stow way) Album-newspaper deals? Raw turnover? Profit? Amount of shows? Cities visited? Amount of visitors? Creative freedoms, new directions? Artistic content versus hits? Top-40 positions? (multiple) Actual project management quality w.r.t. tourplanning and execution? Etc, Etc, etc....

Prince said in a 2012 interview when asked about the vault: "Someone else will probably have to release it after I'm dead." I actually saw that as a sign of progress. ;-) Someone could probably live in the vault for years with little more than bread and water and a daily nap before crawling out all stammered and Van Winkled with a 5-disc box set of studio juice so freakishly potent that it could reanimate Frankenstein's monster and an ongoing, annual bootleg series in perpetuity that would straighten even Dylan's curly grays. But for better or worse, depending on your unique perspective on life, Prince has always been far more of an artist than an archivist. Not that you can't do both, but it would require loosening that death grip he appears to still have on control. Always hopeful for proper remasters but I like to see my chickens before I count them. More than likely we'll just get a new album. Which is nice but then he is a musician and the releasing of albums is quite a common thing for that profession. | |

Few months back Prince tried to get a distribution Contract with different independent Labels (here in Europe) 4 a DOUBLE ALBUM...so we will see if something in his mind has changed ....we will get some answers in few weeks!!
