He supposedly had "certifications" of this, and pictures of him and Prince standing together with the "very same guitar!"

There's no way this can be true. An authentic Prince-played guitar would go for way more than $1000, right?

Yes, it's probably a replica sold by the NPG music club.

Originals have a serial number by Schectar on the back and say "Made exclusively for Prince."
