Prince at 21-dec-2012 would be a better time, if you believe the Maya thing.

Any chance he will be s surprise act, or at least a part of an ensemble maybe? Though may be since he isn't associated with New York like Bon Jovi and The Boss he wasn't included? beg

He doesn't really fit with the rest of the bill, does he? Nor is he particularly known for playing charity events.

And for those of you who are confused, he's talking about this: http://www.121212concert.org/

I'm still pissed at Space 1999 getting it so hopelessly wrong. And Buck Rogers in the 21st Century for that matter.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

No, that was because he'd heard it and realised it was shit.

Sorry but, Do They Know It's Christmas, will win over that piece of crap every time. Original and best.

because the internet fills your head with numbers and that's not good for you?

Maybe a 'reimagining' of Vanity Six featuring three incarnations of the three breasted lady from Total Recall would have been more temporally significant.

because there is no 13/13/13 so we'll have to wait another 89 years for the next 01/01/01. A grim future in which people dance to the End of the World to the sounds of Rush 2112, Rush having swept to power on account of a caligraphical error.

Meh, 12/12/12 isn't really a date. It's an abbreviation of a date. We're 800 years late to the party.

12/12/2012.

the weird habit of putting a month before the date shows a tendency to make stuff longterm instead of acting NOW.

It is confusing at times. 7/11 for instance. Ask anoyone here when it happened and they'll say beginning of November.

Exactly - in the new Total Recall Universe, your Vanity 9 would be my Vanity 6, as you are on the other side of The Fall, rendering you upside down! I had no idea 121212 was Sandy benefit 'til Jon Stewart briefly checked it the day or two after. Shout out to all Sandys. Cx

Maybe he understood the country was not prepared at all.

He wants to get that fixed first before doing a benefit for whatever misery comes upon us, he wants the national anthem not to be performed at just any other opportunity, he wants the flag not to be waved at just any other opportunity.

Espescially not while the real issues are being ignored.

Fiscal Cliff? It's a joke.

Gun Control? Same. First think about drone control, mr Obomba.

Socialism? Ask the banks.

Capitalism? Ask the so called but maybe former 'middle class'.
