Went on stage at Paisley park during the Musicology Tour aftershow and danced by him while he was playing a white bass guitar..with a big straw cowboy hat on...a dungaree vest and white pants I believe. He was smiling..he was having a great time. Ill never forget how normal he looked...just like a regular guy on the street. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I havent met him yet but came close. I won tixs to the musicology tour on 08/08/2004 and paid $25 through the npgmc to go to the afterparty the following night at club 1150 here in atlanta,ga and I met Maceo Parker and he was explaining to me about how he doesnt have to read music in the npg and how everything is done but the chart as a sax player and it was 4 am in the morning and this girl told me "I just shook his hand" and I walked towards the alley and there he was and I got starstruck because Im thinking to myself " I cant believe its him" and he started yelling something out loud to himself and again, me being starstruck....Im saying to myself " I better not approach him" and then I turned around to follow him and he went around the other side of a nearby tree and then Im saying to myself " forget it" and then Prince saw these girls clapping their hands and yelling and he didnt waste any time....he got on the bus. I mean, he really didnt waste any time when he saw those girls coming towards him and some thick woman started banging on the tourbus as it rode off into the night and she says "Prince with his little self" and I regretted not approaching him that night and beat myself up over that but after some venting with some friends, in my mind....I was just giving him space and I did the right thing by not approaching him and wont be starstrucked like that again. Actually, I met him "on board" an aircraft, It was a cold view from Prince I suppose it wasn't my time to meet him.................................................................... ... sigh... was absolutely depressed after, never again listen to "face down" after that!! Some times after, I had such a Luck, the night he did "The Stade the France stadium" Paris France, Never before, I've seen Prince from so far, whereas I had a "Gold place" supposedly close to the stage... I wanted to take my chance and attend to the "aftershow gig" I left the Stadium early I went to the "Société" a hype restaurant; I waited outside with a friend, little by little, I remember a kind of bodyguard and a beautiful woman with long straight dark hair kind of indian looked at me and allowed us to step in the place was very tight, crowded, I was talking to someone, suddenly, I just turned and his band was trying to make a so tight way to the "stage", then he walked in front of me, like 20 cm from me, ...........waouh, (I had the same feeling when I had the chance to swim among wild dolphins...: Nirvana) sure I didn't say anything, part of me was so surprised.. He's got surely beautiful eyes.. Prince creates paradoxal feelings within... We make our own way to heaven everyday

part of me wanted to hug him tight, I remember my heart was racing faaaaaaaaaaaaaast, it was a Pure Pleasure, it was Happiness..
I didnt meet him and talk but I did come into close contact.
During Tamar's tour, in Miami at Mansion nightclub while Prince was playing guitar with her band, I was standing right in front (stood on line for hours before the spot even opened up!)
Prince played several guitar solos standing right in front of me. (I guess after he noticed me enjoying myself after we had made eye contact throughout the performances
At one point, he even encouraged me to come on stage to dance but I was too shy and blushed like crazy in my boyfriends arms...
The first encore, he walked slowly over to where myself and other eager fans were and smiled down at us...everyone was in awe and cheered him on. I excitedly reached up to him hoping he would grab my hand for a second...AND HE DID!
He held it for what seemed like forever and looked me directly in my eyes, needless to say if the crowd wasnt there to support me, I wouldve been a pile of ooze on the floor!
Second encore, after he blazes through a couple of jams we beg for, he walks back up to me with a little smile, then closes his eyes, takes his guitar and places his Hohner guitar in my arms and backs away slowly...I'm still there in that moment...
To top it off, a photographer took a pic of that moment and it was actually on his website, when npgmusicclub was still up!

What did he say or do to u on the airplane that made u feel cold? was he like surronded by security guards? wat airline does prince fly? And were u like walking to ur seat and he was just their and u noticed him or were people on the plane just like oh shit it's Prince. Haha sorry i just find this very intresting. | |

I was very ready to hear out her story, and respectful, but when the story started getting "fishy" and people including myself called her out on it, she became so aggressive! So many holes in that story, including how she happened to be lurking on the org when the groupie thread popped up, even though she doesn't care one bit for Prince anymore. Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive! Most of the meeting Prince stories here are genuine, though, IMO. Especially coming from folks who have had accounts for a while and told the same story more than once over time. That's the best part of coming to the org, for personal stories in the fan journey. | |

I have had a few encounters with him, being from a subburb of minneapolis, I spent alot of time in uptown at the npg store as a teenager and at paisley park every weekend. My first was when I bought a chain hat at the store in uptown they had to have it delivered over from glam slam, so my friends and I went to mcdonalds across the parking lot from npg store, as we finished a big black limo pulled up and out hops prince, he went inside for a min with a box and came back out got back in the limo, the car sat there for a min right out our window as soon as we started to leave so did the limo. Officially met him briefly at paisley park, shook his had and said hello, he was polite and courteous, he asked if I was enjoying myself at paisley, I told he I always do and thats why I show up every time he has a party there, he said he was glad to hear and walked off. 5 min later they hopped on stage and played till about 5:30 in the morning!!! Then we went to perkins for breakfast down the street, and saw prince jump out of a limo at byerlys across the parking lot from perkins at about 6:30am! What a night!!! | |

i've met him a few times over the years, at tv shows, gigs, paisley park. been onstage at a few gigs including paisley park, and been in the studio with him and the time talking for a couple of hours in the middle of the night. i have also asked him a number of questions face to face, including about unreleased stuff from the vaults. sometimes i even got a response. i also got passed the mic to sing at one show. at another he stage dived on me 3 times and it was released on video. one time he took us to the movies. one time i helped arrange an aftershow party for fans and prince took over the dj booth. you should have seen the look on the club owners face turning up with one of his friends, he never met me before and i asked him if we could take over his club for prince. then the look on his face when prince turned up in the club and was in our sight as we spoke
regarding byerlys, i knew prince shopped there the moment i stepped foot in it. the guy at the drugstore a few doors up said mani used to visit there from time to time. it also reminds me i told someone that prince took appolonia to their first date at that perkins and the second one at the nearby applebys | |

That guy is full of lies, when prince would stage dive he placed his security in the audience to catch him, when appolonia was around that perkins or applebees werent there, chanhassen was all farm fields. Im pretty sure he didnt take u to the movies, or anything on yoir list, all lies!!! | |

I never have, but a friend of mine works for a luxury limo service and she had the awesome task of driving Prince during his time in Chicago for a concert several years ago. She said he was a real gentleman. He wanted to keep the divider down and chat with her while they were in the car. When she drove him from the hotel to the concert, he invited her to enjoy the show from back stage. She said this was especially nice since she's driven for other artists who just let her wait for them in the car. She said that he even turned to her during the concert, referenced part of the conversation they had that day and winked at her.
She's very pretty, but about 10 years older than Prince, so he wasn't interested in her. She said he never came on to her. She just said he was extremely kind.
On another note, she also drove for Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown when Whitney had a conert in Chicago. Apparently, while Whitney rested in the hotel room, Bobby had her driving around town picking up women. He also hit on her, but she wouldn't bite. She said he was disgusting. | |

obviously you aren't much of a prince fan
as well as stage diving on the audience, without any of his security close to hand that could be seen, it was filmed and broadcast on tv and sold as a video called beautiful strange, so you could see for yourself. plus the night before he did the same at the hippodrome aftershow, again with no security near by. he was also right above my head at that show and i remember holding his jumper
regarding the movies, there will be other fans here that also went to the movies, we saw minority report. i also have a recording of him inviting us to the movies, and a recording of the following day when he asked who went to the movies the night before
as for the bit about perkins/applebys, i said i told someone prince took appolonia there on a first date, as a joke, which she and the others laughed at as they knew prince wouldn't take appolonia to perkins on a first date. similarly when i said the toilets in paisley were mic'd so prince could record his vocals whilst taking a shit, they knew that scenario was also obviously a ludicrous one intended as a joke
but some real prince fan will be able to confirm to you that the stage diving and movies were true. i know some orgers were at both events so could give an eye witness report, but others can confirm based on the video and audio recordings | |

^^ You don't need to justify or explain yourself, unique.
Lots of people on here are weird - they believe the most unsubstantiated, illogical things, but question the most benign things. Usually, they deny the accounts that may tend to show that Prince could be normal or nice sometimes. I appreciate your sharing your experiences with us, so thank you. what was cool is that the first day i was at paisley, i bought that video showing myself and prince, and earlier in the day prince came downstairs with another video of a tv show i was at with prince where prince high fived me, and we watched ourselves on the big screen at paisley. i was talking to morris about the show as i head they had been playing the tape at the friday night parties and 10 minutes later prince came downstairs to the love4oneanother room with the tape in his hand and went behind the sound desk and put on the tape himself, and few people noticed he was there. my first day at paisley park

Im hardley a newbie, every show at paisley that would stage dive he has his security team there to catch him, I was at the show ur refering to when he brought the tape to the sound booth, I was there when they filmed the vhi special with nona gaye and dave chapelle. I was at every party at paisley starting in 1994, my friend dated morris hayes for a while and he would lwt us sit in one part of the endorphine machine during shows. I was the guy who always wore a tophat there, about 100 shows at paisley. Dont call me a newbie, I was there when they filmed the gold video/ rock and roll is alive. I was at his wedding reception after he married mayte, at paisley park I had wedding cake and white chocolate dolphins. | |
