It's not just Prince who makes a concert a great experience It's not just Prince who makes a concert a great experience, It has also a lot to do with the people that are around you at that concert. You could be hanging with a group of big smelly guys who push you around all the time, or you can hang with some nice people who give eachother space to breath and have fun.
For example, the second Rotterdam concert last year, I was in the second row from the stage. Most people around me, I already knew for some time or got to know them before the concert. It was fun, we had a good time already before the show and there was no pushing or people trying to work their way closer to the stage. Shorter people who were a few rows away were asked if they wanted to stand in front so they good see everything better. That is how a concert should be. The opposite happened at the aftershow in Londen on oct 5th. I was in 5th or 6th row there, being surrounded with the most annoying dumb people I've ever been so near to. Imagine being packed together in that small disco, with the house DJ still playing and there is this big fat guy behind me who keeps dancing and dancing and constantly poking me with his arms rubbing his belly against me! He continued to do this during the concert as well, dancing as if he had all the room to himself. What was meant to be a great experience, my first aftershow, was totally ruined by this idiot! Don't you just hate it, Prince being the best he can be on stage, and people around you ruïning it, because they're to stupid see that they are seriousley disturbing other people. Good thing they have fun, but not at cost of others! . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You can hear Prince say:"Enough on the front, I need a guard over there". Had to think of you sneakin' in just after he said that... Btw. Yeah, the atmosphere during the second R'dam concert was great you could just leave your place for a while and then return to the same spot with to trays of beer without waisting a drop. Even in NightTown there was no pushing although I did expect it !!
I hate it when people get pushy, it realy triggers the worst of anger in me !! Futuristic Fantasy

I was at The Marquee in London on Oct 5th. I saw the packed crowds up the front. So my friend and I decided to just hang back and experience it from the middle/back. It was great! Had room 2 dance, jump around, go to the bar... top nite! ----------

That's the way to experience it! Well, we were really early inside, so we had the chance to experience it real close to the stage and decided to do so. I hated it that he kept on his glasses the entire night! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

One of my favorite concert memories is when I was at a Seven Mary Three concert. There was a tall drunk man who kept leaving his spot up front to go get beer then would PUSH his way back up front. It was a standing G.A. concert. After a few times the lead singer stops in the middle of a song and said "Hey you're fucking up the show...get him out of here" The guards took him away. I thought that was the best!! I wish other artist did the same thing when they see someone messing up everyone else time. *************************************************

Btw. Where's the avatar? I was so lucky that the guard let me through. I told him my friend was in the front row so he let me get to her. And I was right next to you, met some nice girls , had a moment with Sheila...had one of the best times of my life. BTW. My avatar is gone cause I´m uploading a new one and it first needs approval. --------------------------------------------------

!!! That dude sounds like a total ass!! So glad they got rid of him I haven't had any horrendous concert experiences YET, but there was the time @ the Filmore when this drunk guy was leaning on my shoulder ALL FRIGGIN' NIGHT!!! It was so packed, I couldn't get away from the guy. He was given the boot after about an HOUR I'm just glad he didn't hurl on me, I would have DIED Also, @ some club in SF, there was a dude that literally elbowed his way up front & pissed off several people. He didn't elbow me but he ended up right behind me, then right next to me, eventually right in front of me. Rude people can really fuck it up for everyone...

Actually, one fell asleep after about 200 metres! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I agree, London 5th concert AND aftershow, both truly amazing from Prince's perspective but the crowd were all up in each other's armpits. I don't like that, at all.

At the Chicago shows last year, it really sucked being around a bunch of people who didn't know most of the songs and didn't want you to stand up or dance. Before the first night's show, it really sucked when club members got in line for the soundcheck, and people started letting their buddies in front of them. Some of my worst experiences have been with club members.

Some people can be real idiots. I'm 13, just over 5 foot and i went to my 1st Prince concert London Oct 4th. It was amazing apart from the assholes in front of me. There were guys (brothers,20-25) and for 2 and a half hours they made and smoked:blunt:cigarettes. To make matters worse they were almost six feet tall.THEN their parents (50+?) just stood there kissing.prince played Nothing Compares 2 u, Take Me With U, Raspberry Beret and did his Ozzy impression b4 they stopped. like cmon. its prince! either watch the man or go home!NOT BOTH But other than that it was brilliant
