i will admit that i hate rnr love affair but the remixes aren't so bad ... not good enough for me to buy but because its just typical stock rave beats .. super boring and predicatble .. but i like that the horrible instrumentation of the original is gone .. the vocals and lyrics work far better with a minimalist soundscape .. this reminds me of the orbit future remix .. now i am just craving the prince original .. no not the radio single version now available but the one that sounds like the original the future .. some thing minimalist with a classic prince beat and none of the country twang crap and shitty keyboard horn parts all over it .. it wouldn't be a bad song if he took that approach and put some classic prince drums with some high pitched guitar funk licks ... the lyrics still need some work but they sound less hokey when not in a country song | |

Nice to hear the original mix as it shows the progression to the final version. I like the guitar riff that is featured throughout one of the remixes and would like to hear that incorporated into the actual released version as (for me) the guitar element is lacking in the track. The remixes are horrid and an emabrassment to listen to. | |

It's not about clout. He works CHEAP and that is all Prince cares about these days. Paying the least for what he needs. Hence Funkenberry as the closest thing to an official site and Jamie Lewis as his remixer and Purple Music releasing his singles. And this is not a shot at anyone, it's just fact. Prince should have an actual, official website, his music should be on iTunes, he should be working with REAL, professional remixers, etc. We've been over all of this before, the man is obsessed with money and refuses to pay what it takes to have it done right. | |

Oh. My. GOD.
Worst crap I've ever heard in my life. The original song is GREAT. The re-mixes are PURE CRAP.
To be honest, I could only stand 10 seconds of that poop. But there's no way it got any better.
Once again, I find that there is no such thing as a remix that is better than the original. Hell, there's no such thing as a remix that is even as good as the original. Nor for me, anyway.
Why, Prince? WHY?

The original mix is quite alright, but this is absolutely not a song that lends itself to those kinds of house mixes. Who tells him that this stuff sounds good? Are there only sycophants around him these days.....no critical voices? | |
