I've heard the song before (griffiti bridge), but i think i skiped pass some of the parts then i deleted it from my computer. But Today, i bought the album and DAMN, what a song!
That 2nd chorus (the choir part that has no lyrics is what makes that song). Finding great prince songs will never end for me.

When I first heard this song,I thought it was gonna be the "grand finale" in the film...lol...you know,with Mavis,Tevin and the rest of the cast standing around the graffiti bridge,singing in unison.

I'm serious,that's what went through my head when I first heard this song!

This Song was the beginning of the end 4 me as far as being a Prince fan. Listening to that crap tune made me realize that he could fail. Nowadays i can sing along to it, cause i change the chorus 2 "everybody wants to fuck the greedy bitch.." (found this line in another thread.)

4 those that dissed yall dont know what ur missin cause grafitti bridge is absolutley beautiful... from that beautiflluy orchestrated intro arranged by claire fischer(gotta be a beauty doin shit like that lol) ...on down 2 the melody of the chourus that seemed 2 be laughin and of course the soulful wail of mavis staples that had me in tears ... if u believe... if u belive... wave ur hands 4 the power of love... there is a future (sho u right) a future worth fightin 4...
