Pink Cashmere live?

Prince never performed Pink Cashmere live huh? That would be really sad cause thats my favorite song. I bet its sounds hella pretty live.

He played it at all the uk GOLD shows I think. Was nothin special in my opinion, went down well though, but I think that was just 'cause audience were glad to be thrown a familiar scrap.

The version he played in Londonm on ONA was killer 'though. That's reminded me that this really top guy i hung out with for the first two show's. We where chatting about our ultimate wish for the London gigs, and his was an acoustic set. He could only afford two nights out of the three so he went to the first two. And on the third night...

poor guy.

Prince performed it at the Glam Slam West club in an 95 American Music Awards aftershow...I was there handling a video camera for the performance.

...no, I didn't get to keep the tape! But it's cool.

Pink Cashmere was great live, not exactly like the studio version just a little different, pumped up a bit.

i dont like it live. It loses its dream-like quality. I normally prefer live tracks as they have more energy, but some tracks just dont sound that good live. Your better sticking with the studio version, IMO that is.

I have a vague recollection of it being played in Wembley Stadium in 93. Definitely on the gold tour and most recently in the acoustic set on Saturday in London ONA. It seems to be a UK staple.

I wish I could re-live that acoustic set... sigh

Over towards the right side of the stage, my fiancé (the same girl that shouted at Prince in Italian during the sound check) is claustrophobic...I might leave her at home next time!!
