The album includes the songs Mind Bells and Bliss, both co-written and mostly performed by Prince and Levi Seacer, Jr.. Kahoru Kohiruimaki's manager, Seijiro Udo, had promoted Princes Japanese concerts on the Lovesexy Tour, and Udo asked Prince to provide some tracks for Kohiruimaki.

Prince and Levi Seacer, Jr. recorded the tracks in Summer 1989, and Kohiruimaki simply overdubbed vocals for the tracks in Autumn, 1989.

No singles were released from the album. As the album was not released outside of Japan, it did not enter the US charts. -PrinceVault

Mindbells

Uh oh, there they go lurkin' in my mind
Try 2 stop'em, I am lost in time
So lost, the best that I did is go huntin' 'em down
Everybody thinks I'm crazy, but I know that U're the reason 4 the sound

CHORUS:
Mindbells every time U touch me
Mindbells every time U're near
When U sing with your body, baby
When U sing with your body, baby
Mindbells is all I hear, oh

Mindbells

Listen..
Every time U tell me I'm the one 4 U
And I just can't believe it's me U're talking 2
And my life and destiny, they scare me so
What am I gonna do, I can't let U go

CHORUS

Like the choir sings (la la la la la la)
These mindbells, they ring (ding dong)
I want U now
(Take me)

Oh, mi..mindbells
Mi..mi..mi..mindbells

Can it be these bells I hear ring 4 more than me?
Am I just another star, one of your fantasies?
No baby, baby, don't let it be
Can't U see this love is killing me?

Mindbells every time U touch me (Killing me, yeah)
Mindbells every time U're near (Come near)
When U sing with your body, baby
When U sing with your body, baby
Mindbells is all I hear, oh

Mind Bells is the sixth track on Kahoru Kohiruimaki's sixth album Time The Motion (the first of two Prince-related tracks). The track was written and produced by Prince and Levi Seacer, Jr.
While specific recording dates are not known, initial tracking took place in Summer 1989, at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA (during the same set of sessions as Bliss, Shall We Dance, Sex, Heaven Must Be Near and Seven Corners). Kahoru Kohiruimaki's manager, Seijiro Udo, had promoted Prince's Japanese concerts on the Lovesexy Tour, and Udo asked Prince to provide some tracks for Kohiruimaki, leading to the recording of Mind Bells and Bliss. Kahoru Kohiruimaki recorded her own vocals over the basic tracks in Autumn 1989 -PrinceVault

mindbells doesn't do much for me, the melodies a bit weak and undeveloped. bliss is a track i've always liked, simple and infectious with a slamming beat.

don't play me...i'm over 30 and i DO smoke weed....

I love Mind Bells. I just found Kahoru Kohiruimaki's version, and most of it is sung in Japanese.

As shown by the picture you posted above, there was another Kahoru Kohiruimaki release on Paisley Park in 1990, which is almost unknown Time The Motion Live: http://www.kohhy.co.jp/di...nlive.html

There also was a live video album of that same tour (but different show), released the same year under the same title: http://eil.com/shop/morei...gid=568494. I don't think Paisley Park was involved in the video version but I'm not 100% sure.

Both albums contain live versions of Mind Bells and Bliss and -something that Princevault fails to acknowledge- both live versions of Mind Bells seem to contain sampled vocals by Prince that are NOT in the studio version (several orgers including myself agreed that they can't hear it anywhere on it, though we may be mistaken), thus making them alternate versions of the studio version, instead of mere "covers" (which is how live versions of Prince songs given to other artists are usually considered, since Prince isn't involved in them).

Mindbells
This is Prince's version given to Japanese artist Kahoru Kohiruimaki for her 1989 Time The Motion album. She simply substituted his vocals for her own. The song has a production date of September 3rd, 1989, which probably refers to the final mix date.

yeah I heard it too recently, It was cool, I like the Japanese/English singing

I wonder is Prince's connection with her why he started using Japanese writing during the GB period

Bliss is the seventh track on Kahoru Kohiruimaki's sixth album Time The Motion (the second of two Prince-related tracks). The track was written and produced by Prince and Levi Seacer, Jr.
While specific recording dates are not known, initial tracking took place in Summer 1989, at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA (during the same set of sessions as Mind Bells, Shall We Dance, Sex, Heaven Must Be Near and Seven Corners). Kahoru Kohiruimaki's manager, Seijiro Udo, had promoted Prince's Japanese concerts on the Lovesexy Tour, and Udo asked Prince to provide some tracks for Kohiruimaki, leading to the recording of Mind Bellsand Bliss. Kahoru Kohiruimaki recorded her own vocals over the basic tracks in Autumn 1989 (studio information is needed for her recording).

The sky looks like it's turnin'
Turnin' from blue 2 black
Still I feel the sun is burnin'
Hot monkey on my back
Am I in a speeding car?
Am I lying in your bed?
One kiss from U is all that I do
And I'm outta my head (My head, my head)

Bliss
This is heaven, I swear 2 God
Wish that I could spend everynight with this feeling some more
Bliss

Just as sure as this lighted candle
I can handle anything
Don't hold nothin' back
2night baby, U're the king
Birds are singin', mindbells are ringin'
I can see everything

We should take a moment
2 praise the heavens above
Every man should be so lucky (So lucky)
So lucky 2 be in love

Bliss
The sky is turnin'
Turnin' from blue 2 black (Black)
Bliss
Can't U feel the sun burnin'?
Hot monkey on my back (Back)
Get off!

Am I in a speeding car?
Am I lying in your bed?
One kiss from U is all that I do
And I'm outta my head (I'm outta my head)

Oh bliss
This is heaven, I swear 2 God
Wish that I could spend everynight with this feeling some more

Oh bliss
This is heaven, I swear 2 God
I wish that I could spend... this feeling, this feeling

Oh bliss
This is heaven, I swear 2 God {fade out}
Wish I could spend everynight, all night with this ...
