I have found out that the song was also used during the video montage of the closing credits of the 1992 Super Bowl. In fact, the last thing Greg Gumbel says before he signs off is that "the Washington Redskins were willing and able". Of course, the video ends right there. Our good buddy The Web Sheriff must have put the screws to the NFL, LOL.

But the performance I remember was early in the day, before the game started. It was part of the pre-game stuff a couple hours before kickoff.

I tried looking up the Super Bowl after seeing your post. The clips I saw say that the ending with the song were removed by the NFL because of WMG - Warner Music Group? Whoever called the song "sexy gospel" is right on.

Yeah, that's probably the same video I saw.

Have always loved this track and never tire of it. First seconds of the intro and I'm sold. I've seen it somewhere on video and it was great too, pity I can't remember where would like to see it again.

Always been a favourite of mine - from the very first bars I heard.

Great arrangement, lush instrumentation, the bass is sublime. Top all-round track.

I love the entire D&P !

Me too!

What a great year. I loved the album, singles, maxi-singles, videos, maxi-singles, the colors, yellow BMW......perfect!

People hate on Tony way too much. He fit perfect into that album. I think Prince tried to use him as the future of rap out of MPLS.....should have stayed in the background. He gave Prince some edge he lost (during the LoveSexy/heavy makeup/garter belts) over the years.

It was nice to walk out the mall and see cars parked bumpin' his music.

I dig the video as well. I love the intimate, studio-gospel, jazz vibe to it. I also love Prince's spins in that.

The song, as experienced through the video, highlights Prince's skill as bandleader but also his meticulous eye for detail (the end drum thang)

I love the video version of the song.
Back in the day, I tried everything to tape it from the TV. lol

A couple of years ago, someone gave me an audio copy.

Now I play it more than the album version.

nod this whole thing. Once the DVD finally came out I made a nice

direct recording off of that and it's been my go-to version ever since!
