Haha Prince will be at the interview! I'm sure Jimmy won't (more like, CAN'T) ask anything to really embarrass him or throw him off but this should be funny. I'm carefully guessing he's going to announce the next stop for Welcome 2 America tour as well? That'd be nice, or if he could at least give us a general update on when he's planning to drop a new album, how long he's planning to continue touring, etc.

As for the actual concert, here's something to consider. I've heard that they don't save a spot for the interview audience. So after the interview taping's finished you'll have to go to the very back of the line for the outdoor concert and probably end up getting a crappy view...Personally I'd rather not go to Andy's indoor concert or the actual interview and just wait in line outside for P's performance. (I've also read they have monitors in the parking lot so we can watch the studio show while we wait outside)

Also I think we should have a separate JKL concert thread in the 'Concert' forum. Only the first song Prince plays will be televised but like someone already said if they usually play 4 or 5 songs we'll be the only ones to watch the rest of the show...

I'm lucky enough to be going to this concert on Tuesday. The latest is that Andy Allo will perform inside, in the small "loft" stage at 6:45PM and Prince will perform outside on the larger stage at 8PM. He's expected to play for an hour, and he will not be interviewed by Jimmy.

Heres a little heads up to you LA Prince fans, he is doing a secret show on 10/23 at the Sayers Club in Hollywood. Not sure of the time, but you might wanna get there early as this place fits about 200 people. This place has one of the toughest doors in hollywood, so you may not get in, but damn, its worth a try......he shows up there and jams every now and then as it is one of my favorite live music venues in all of LA. They get major musicians jamming there almost every week.

For “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Tuesday, Prince will have a new drummer, Hannah Ford. Well, she’s actually being billed as a guest drummer. They’re scheduled to play the new tune “Rock ‘n’ Roll Love Affair.”

Um, don’t read anything into it. Ford, a veteran singer/jazz drummer from Chicago, is married toJoshua Welton and has worked with Wynton Marsalis and Louie Bellson, among others.

We’ll have to tune in to see if Ford is truly an additional drummer and if longtime New Power Generation drummer John Blackwell is still involved, as well.

Apparently Andy performed People Pleaser and If I was King with Maceo and it killed! They of course had to bring in peeps from the audience to fill in some of the area. This performance will air in Dec!

As of 6:45 were still in soundcheck

Sidenote: he's wearing pimp glasses and walking with that glass pimp cane!

According to Dr. Funkenberry he just performed R n R Affair (with Andy, NPG, Hannah Ford) and is now performing Dance Electric (with Damaris)

Now performing Take Me With U (likely with Andy, not sure though) as an encore

Both Jerry O'Connel and Russel Peters shared a little story about meeting Prince. And for the outdoor concert he again showed up with his 11 piece horn section Must say, was a bit disappointed he didn't perform "Dark" but it was fun. His guitar solo during Dance Electric one of the highlights. During Don't Stop Till U Get Enough/Cool, one lucky fan got to go up on the stage and dance with him (she was cool). These were taken with my phone so sorry for the quality of the pics

Awww...did you guys see that he threw Andy a few guitar riffs at the end? Was that to prove to us that her guitar is on during performance? LOL!

Anyway, great performance of RNR Affair and Dance Electric. Prince sounded good and looked absolutely great! I think those yellow pants are becoming his new trademark though.

really dig r&r affair, sounds better live and dance electric was just getting good..too bad it was cut short due to air time. Also he sure loves those banana pants
