Me too.

On 2nigsunited4westrotterdam there are many Jimmy moments (not just Whole Lotta Love). He'd definitely been listening to some Zep.

AGREED!! Jimmy would embarass Prince unless he stepped it down. I'd rather see a Page/Plant reunion

I think he meant Prince, Page AND Plant. But you're right, Jimmy would embarass Prince, nonetheless. nod

Last time I saw Page & Plant (before the 2007 O2 gig) it was dreadful.

If you want Jimmy as he could be now listen to someone like Joe Bonammassa.

EDIT - I'm listening to Bambi right now on 2nigs. Sounds like a crosss between Jimmy and Buckethead. Ridiculous.

Well, not really. There's stuff Page could do (or could have done 20 years ago - he's not so hot these days, unfortunately) that Prince can't (mainly in shredding), but there's also plenty Prince can do that Page can't. Prince would just burn Page in the versatility department.

They're both excellent guitarists with exceptional skills, but are too different for any meaningful comparison. But, there's no reason to compare them - they're playing is there to be enjoyed.

Rubbish. Prince has jammed with many artists over the years, both old and new; like Miles Davis and Stevie Wonder in the "old" and Dave Grohl and Beyoncé in the "new". There's no evidence to suggest he wouldn't play with Page. He obviously admires him, having covered Page's tunes more than a few times.

Unless you have something genuinely compelling to change my mind?

If u watch the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Show(which I was at and also Club Black aftershow)I was in the front row. Prince had NO Connetion with any of the MEN on that stage in the last Jam. Don't Try 2 turn HIM into some1 HE is not!---HE is PRINCE the Greatest.

As a performing musician, trust me, you cannot play like that and have NO connection with the musicians around you. I've seen that gig many times and whilst Prince doesn't make much eye contact with the other musicians, they are clearly digging what he is doing and he is playing so well with them, that there is an undoubted connection going on between them all. Musicians don't need to look at each other to have a connection - its ethereal, almost telepathic when it comes to making music with people, particularly in a live setting.

So, that's not compelling evidence at all. Anything else? (oh, and quit capitalising "him" - he is not God).

I love Jimmy Page,he made great song and he is great ,his guitar soloing is very weak.i mean he played nice solos but very slopy,he is better at riffs.Prince is a much better guitar player then Jimmy Page except if you think 20 pentatonic noodle on Stairway is great. Regarding Santana.Santana played 4 or five times with Prince live and all are well documented with bootlegs .Recommend Carlos Santana playing guitar solo on Joy in Repetition Washington one nite alone tour.

As a musician(one that get paid!!!) also I understand what u r saying but HE has a much better Connection with Larry,Miles and the rest of them that HE has worked with in the past.Bruce/Page r not part of the same WORLD or TEAM PRINCE plays with!and one another thing HE is GOD u just have not heard or seen what I SEEN!!!!!!
