The World is a Ghetto Originally performed by 'War'...Prince comes in at the 2:53 mark on electric guitar and plays it like I've never heard him play guitar before...from an Indigo Aftershow in London....anyone else heard this jazzy version???? Play it for a jazz aficionado and ask him to guess who he's listening to...something never heard before.

I AM a jazz aficionado.
That's why I can only LAUGH at Prince's poor forays into the genre.
It may have a walking bass line and a cymbal-riden swinging drum part with some solos thrown in.
But that's NOT jazz.
Not in your (or my) wildest dreams.

Vitirol i respect your opinion, but what is jazz really? Should we classify or label it? Maybe Prince didn't reach in the essence of what jazz is,but he sure did some really cool jazz fusion stuff, instead of laughing maybe you should listen to some of it,and u'll find some nice melodies, and music isn't about classifications it's all about the melodies and rhythms
