Right now, when I add up the number of views for the three threads related to the TDG mess, the total number of views is 6,977. By contrast, the thread on the Chicago concerts, which is a sticky and on the front page, has 7,773 views. And the TDG threads have 268 replies as opposed to 103 for the concert thread. Even if you assume that half of the TDG replies are from one crazy fan named electricberet, that's still more than the concert threads.
I'm not in the concert promotion business but if I were promoting the Prince concerts, I would probably rather have people talking about the concert than some website that only the most diehard orgers seem to have been familiar with.

Prince doesnt give one iota of a fuck what any of yall think or are mad at. YOU KNOW THAT. Plus yall know the purple rules and purple risks..digital garden knew it and again knows it...When yall get hit with that puple brick yall act brand new and get all upset ..all over again..you are all crazy because you keep doing the same thing expecting different results.

I think you may have hit on the explanation here. Prince has driven away all his longtime fans except the crazy people, like me. We took that song about the purple banana too seriously back in the day. eberet, none of this will have any effect on his upcoming concerts.....come on now you know better than that
isnt that a stones lyric? "Climb in my fur."

Tell me what person in their right and sane mind, would take your delusional, bs lies, rumors, hearsay, etc., etc., that you post here seriously? TDG was soooo important because they posted bootleg info. Yeah ok.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Not true..because he still draws a live crowd. And 95% of that crwod doesnt even use the net for Prince shit such as tdg, hq, p=org etc....Princes livelihood does NOT depend on us here. When will yall realize that? When will yall realize not having youtubery or bootleggery of his owrks will not make a dent in his over all legacy etc.

Close. It was the headline in the Times of London when Mick and Keith were given harsh sentences for drug possession.
I don't want to affect his upcoming concerts. I'd be satisfied with some official statement (by which I mean on Dr. Funkenberry's page) addressing the issue with TDG, telling his side, and making it clear that he's not planning to go after other fan sites like this one. Is that too unreasonable? The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

What percentage of that crowd could sing the correct lyrics for "Paisley Park?" Or is he over that now? The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

[obviously] I already know he doesn't care ....so neither will I, until things change [when it comes to spending my $ on anything Pronce related]. الحيوان النادلة ((((|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|̲̅̅=̲̅̅|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|)))) ...AND THAT'S THE WAY THE "TITTY" MILKS IT!

Yes.
You do realize this stuff has been going on since 1996-97 right?
And whats happened? Prince has kept on steppin while everyone else has kept getting mad every few years lol.
I know what Im saying isnt very popular but its right. Trust me. "Climb in my fur."

Well, in a few hours the hold on my Chicago tickets will expire and I can go back to speculating on which nights the Stones will play the Barclays Center. Meanwhile Prince's lawyers can keep searching for the next site to shut down. Life goes on. Since the Stones are getting along now and are planning a 2013 tour (and possible album) to celebrate their 50th, I'm guessing if people are tired of Prince, they can always see them.

Maybe Prince could open for the Stones at one of their shows. It might go over better than it did last time. The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

They can't go see the Stones, 'cause their gonna be playing their hit songs. Nobody wants to hear them play Satisfaction for the 10,000th time! I mean, that's what I keep hearing from Prince fans.
Folks don't wanna hear songs they actually recognize. Every classic artist should just play B-Sides, Unreleased songs, new album tracks, and rarities.
Songs nobody knows other than the really obsessive... I mean "loyal" fan. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

I agree. Of course I'm disappointed that Prince chooses to do some of the things that he does. I respect and love the guy for the joy his music has given me and for his hard work and dedication but personally i think he has issues. As a long time fan, i use to get mad at prince when i would hear about his bullshit but now i guess I'm just indifferent. I'll still buy his music and go to his Concerts but other than that. Meh.
The sad thing is that Prince is a "special" person and is blessed beyond belief. You can see that something in his personality. He's already an inspiration but he could be much more if he could just work thru his ego, his past hurts and his insecurities. Considering the talent and charisma that the guy has he could be more than what he already is.

Nothing semi-legal about it. It's freedom of speech pure and simple.
Since I already said it on another thread, I'm just going to quote myself from here:
and then this:

Surely there's a lawyer that's also a Prince fan who collects bootlegs? No?

There certainly are, but I think you would want a lawyer who doesn't collect bootlegs, who can more persuasively make the argument that it's a free speech issue. They could contact the Electronic Frontier Foundation. The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

No it would not. See above or see my response to when you said it on the other thread. Is freedom of speech a difficult concept to grasp?

You only check out bootlegs if you were at the show?
So sorry to hear that...
Unless of course you go to every show, then, wow! Very cool!!

This site is great due to GD and Politics & Religion.
And the upper area is great if you'r bored or want reliable info about P concerts.
Let's hope he's going to occupy himself with concerts. Otherwise he gets bored and directs his energy to these kind of things. I hope he will get himself caught up in music and touring again.
